@dankisdope That would be hard to do. Nobody knows what phenotype of BigBud was used for the cross. GDP is still around. I crossed Urkle to a Ken’s GDP male once. That’s the closest thing I have

going to be popping 20 end of FEB lots of freebies to me made, hoping to be able to isolate something decent for-sure. not known for killer smoke just great big buds, need to breed with something strong and with a good bud to leaf trait. not wanting the normal bigbud type plant when everything thing is said and done.

2x strong bushes (I think fem)
1x tall boi (pretty sure male)
1x runt (no idea of sex yet)
3x “WTF are you doing?”
3x no show
You can see the good ones are great but I’m very not used to only 3 out of 10 seeds working out.

ya thats not to good at all my friend. did the three no shows just never break seed or they did and died ASAP ?. either way ya thats sad to see.
i’ll do my best with them as i always do once there time comes. i hope the ones that are living really give ya something worth there time and space in your garden.

Scuffed and soaked in filtered water + h202 =
1x showed a root and 2x no rootlet
Planted in pure earth worm castings under dome for 7 days =
2x no show and the one with the rootlet sprouted and then died off. I dug up the no shows and cracked the casings by hand and they didn’t ooze like a pimple so I replanted them.
7 more days the no-shows didn’t show so I removed them from the equation.
That’s my hope too. Another OGer has sent me their pack as I’m doing a reproduction and having more than what’s currently viable will make for better F2’s for all of us.

i had a few seeds not pop recently. when i tried to do what you did, they did ooze. what does that mean?

That means the inside of the seed is rotten and turned into pudding

do you know why it happens?

It happens when bacteria gets past the shell and inside the embryo, then starts reproducing unstopped by the normal checks and balances that would normally occur in healthy embryos. I recommend 1 part hydrogen peroxide to 5 parts water for the soak solution to avoid contamination. Also coconut sugar, powder or coconut water but peroxide is crucial to avoid infection in the first stages of germination

IMO distilled or sterilized water is part of that equation too.
On top of that be aware of the chemicals that are likely in municipal water if thats what you have

This is why I fill up water from my work which is RO and ment to replicate a spring in Northern Minnesota. I have been doing this since my first grow and my plants seem to thoroughly enjoy it. Just need to make sure Cal/Mag is used every watering

ive scoured and searched on IG quite a bit before, and ive found that guys page. hes a cool guy, seems to be doing some amazing work up there in the cold north. ive seen people grow his stuff with good review too. hes got a super skunk line and a GDP line. Let me know if you try anything from the lucky 13 dude, i bet its fire!

While Ive not grown them, I got 2 packs of the Y2K Super Skunk last year, and, he gave me a pack of Purple Skunk, free. Im waiting for when he rereleases the 1985 Skunk IBL. I emailed him yesterday, and he said there is no ETA, which sucks. He has The Best Skunk1 out there, and its worked, and has been tested an honest 22%. I want the 1985 Skunk 1 strictly for future breeding.
Professor Sprout, has an impeccable rep, as far as I have researched. Ive really never seen a bad review, and his prices are really good.
