Yep sorry i tried
The SCBB pheno have a large edge on the initial Big Bud by :
- yield : the cut is a true pounder, not the big bud as it
- resistance : big bud was ever a mildiew and fungi magnet. Not the SCBB, making it possible for outdoor without molding like shit.
- structure : more woody and sativa-ish than the BB averages.
On the weed it’s just a good big bud, like any good motherplant of a decent grower. Nothing “special” to expect on this side, terps etc all is there.
You’re tricky, at the first line i was ready to jump on the keyboard the knife under the teeths then … lmao just perfect. Nothing to add. (Big Bud weed fan inside)
Salmon Creek in stock! Go!@ Headiesgarden.com
Now sold out, hope most people that wanted them scored a pack.
thats some nasty PM on those plants, i hope those went into the trash and not smoked.
scary …
Sure is
Im not sure what happened with the harvest but the guy was aware of the pm and believe me he was not happy.
Still, those pics are some of the best i could find of the cut.
I bet that thing explodes with botrytis outside like a MoFo in humidity
ohh ya i totally agree she is/was looking awesome, very very sad to see all that PM.
i did my PM throw out a couple grows back, at day 56/58 i cut and threw it all in the trash and it was burnt up.
very tough at that stage.
What’s the best way to avoid PM? Less humidity?
good start but a good IPM is great as well, i now do a total drenching of all my plants when there small. totally dunked under a water sulfur mixture, then a couple weeks later i will spray them down with pure crop 1. seems to be working good thus far. seems like a lot but its really not if ya do this when there young its not a big deal, now if your still bringing in things from outside or getting cuts in from friends you need to be very careful and not just bring straight pm right back into your area. cuts/snips can be dunked just as easy, how ever bringing plants in from out side i do not think would be a good idea. i do not ever do that so that’s something i know very little of, ahh it just makes sense to not bring outside plants into your home if your currently growing and indoor crop.
just clean and keep the RH down …
@treehousegrowery other than the sulfur application @JAWS mentioned I’ve found using H0Cl really does work wonders.
Many of us here on OG ended up getting H0Cl generators and the stuff is so useful I’m actually angry at not having it in my inventory before last year.
I grew out Buddhas Cane outdoors last year and the nugs were so hard that I knew I was fucked come september. I ended up getting the generator and soaking down the plant with heavy defoliation. It lasted until the end of Sept with no issues, not even bud rot. Blew my mind.
I also add the stuff to my nutrient solutions as it helps keep the salts accessible in the mix.
Thank you for the tips/info! I’ll have to look into those generators. Maybe I haven’t had PM because I add potassium and sulfur during most of flowering cycle.
ya i have a nice dehuey here as well, also keeping things thinned out in the tight garden will help a whole lot. lastly i use SI it helps the plant fend off bitters.
i use to think it was a one and done type product but i have been reading a bit and looking at vids and SI can be used several times during a single run, mostly in veg cycle but also a couple times in flower ig also.
tell me more about HOCI please.
thanks …
yes please
is it like Zerotol?
.
. 3-in-1 Algaecide, Bactericide & Fungicide Proven To Reduce Botrytis, Powdery Mildew, Xanthomonas & More!
ZeroTol 2.0 uses a combination of Hydrogen Peroxide and Peroxyacetic Acid to prevent, suppress and control a wide range of pathogens on plants and in the soil. It works equally well to treat and control bacteria, fungi and algae on hard surfaces and equipment. This is especially useful to contain the spread of disease in your growing area. When used as directed, there will be no strong odor, visible residue or harmful effects on plants.
Suggested Uses: Apply as a broad-spectrum bactericide, fungicide and algaecide on hard, non-porous surfaces such as greenhouse structures, tools, benches, plastic, walkways, watering systems, evaporative coolers, storage rooms, ventilation equipment, floors and other equipment. ZeroTol can be used on plants grown indoors or outdoors, including bedding and flowering plants, roses, poinsettias, ornamentals, nursery stock, trees, turf, synthetic/artificial turf, cut flowers, bulbs, cuttings, seedlings, seeds and seedbeds. For use as a foliar spray, in irrigation and fogging applications, as a soil drench, seed treatment, in hydroponics or as a pre-plant dip.
Product Notes:
- When using this product as a seed treatment, please ensure that treated seeds are not accessible to birds as ZeroTol is toxic to them.
- This product is corrosive and a strong oxidizing agent. Do not use in undiluted form and mix only with water in accordance with label directions. Never bring undiluted product in contact with other pesticides, cleaners or oxidating agents.
- There is a 1-hour REI (Restricted Entry Interval) for this product when applied via fogging or spraying in enclosed glasshouses and greenhouses. There is a 0-hour REI when applied in a non-spraying method (pre-plant dip, seed treatment, soil drench, mop, soak, rinse, etc.). In field applications, entry should be restricted until sprays have dried.
- Testing for phytotoxicity and compatibility is recommended before widespread use on plants or mixing with other products.
No worries @JAWS !
In short a copy/paste from a reliable source:
BioFilm reduction
Less mineral salt build up
Increased root health
Faster growth rates
Less incidence of related pests
Easier crop turn overs
HOCl is a safe and effective way to disinfect both the water and the plant roots in a hydroponic system, reducing the risk of diseases and pests.
HOCl is a powerful disinfectant that can kill bacteria, viruses, and fungi without harming the plants.
It is a natural, non-toxic, and environmentally friendly alternative to other disinfectants such as bleach or hydrogen peroxide.
When added to the nutrient solution, HOCl provides additional protection against harmful pathogens that can damage the plants and reduce their growth.
Using HOCl as a water sterilizer reduces the need for expensive and energy-intensive systems such as UV sterilization or ozonation.
It is a cost-effective and simple way to maintain a healthy hydroponic system and ensure optimal plant growth.
Personally my fogger is always loaded with it, I have a spraybottle of it in my kitchen, I use it to sterilize anything I am so inclined.
And when defoliating I soak the plant and then go at it bare handed cause the stuff is non-toxic! Every gallon of my solutions get 1/2 ml of H0Cl at the very end of mixing.
1L takes: 2g Kosher Salt + 3 tsp white vinegar + 1L water. Going multiple cycles with the generator will increase the PPM of the H0Cl so I usually do highest setting at 2x cycles and get some serious PPM going.
I appreciate the though @Hapi but anything that says toxic in any form has me often take a wide walk-around.
The “Other Ingredients” shouldn’t include any active ingredients, it’s probably stabilizers for the peroxyacetic acid.
I think I talked to people at a local grow shop about Zerotol once (while on the lookout for something completely different). If I recall correctly you have to be careful about PPE when applying foliar because that acid is really caustic.
Regardless it’s not the same as HOCl (it’d be H2O2 + CH3CO3H).
Yeah, I’ve been eyeballing a generator for a few months now.
The one I’ve been lusting on is only $160.00 or so, and do like cleaning my pots and stuff.
