Salvia D & Dragonfruit - local PU in Seattle WA area

Local PU only, sorry! Can meet you within an hour-ish of Seattle though.

Cleaning out my greenhouse of things I don’t need.

I’m only looking for something small in return trade for however much of it. I do mean very small. For example, a sheet of postage stamps. Mostly just to make me feel better about the mountain of lovely living soil that will be leaving with them. Or you could bring me some nice indoor growing soil. Or bunny poo. I would LOVE some rabbit poop.

Here’s some pictures of the enormous dragonfruits & 5 young salvia divinorum.

I have concluded the dragonfruit aren’t going to bloom for me in my setup. Likely the most important factor is I don’t keep it very warm. I also don’t need a forest of Salvia. I want my space back for cannabis and veggies.

The dragonfruit are two kinds I got on Etsy from a seller in Hawaii, supposed to be self-fertile, and produce dark colored and modest sized super sweet fruits. Named Hawaiian Red and Purple Hawaiian. Yes I have notes on which is which. They’re planted in one pot together, and have colonized 2 more pots. The plant will not be able to be removed whole, but its got aerial roots all over the place so you’ll be able to grow all the pieces easily.

Full disclosure - I’ve had a reoccurence of thrips, and treated for it, and they seem gone & don’t seem to ever have touched either of these plants at all, but I can’t guarantee one won’t hitch a ride.

Yes, I know how to ship stuff, but that’s a total PITA, especially at this time of year, so I’d need to be heavily incentivized - just not going to be worth it to anyone IMO, compared to the only modest value of the plants.

Happy gardening!

I removed the dragonfruit from the greenhouse. That’s a 45" box. I need my space for useful plants, but man that was a large and cool plant. :disappointed_relieved: Just have to share with peeps who can understand the plant love.

Not pictured are the stumps of the starting plants in their pot.

Lol!! Cheap so far  they’re foster kittens, and we haven’t had these ones long enough for them to eat much yet.
They thought the box of dragonfruit was really fun though - running under the edge, chewing on the roots, sniffing everything.
Here’s cuter pics - they’ll be ready to find homes in a couple weeks.
