I only have the HP15 available. Is it the same?

As a drench or how do you apply the Ivory?

You can make your own wetting solution by adding a little dish soap to water. Use just a few drops per gallon. Avoid making suds – first fill the container with water and then add the soap, stirring to mix well. Hot water works fastest, but cool water from the garden hose works too.

any dish soap works

All pro mix comes with an wetting agent. It’s basically peat moss, lime, perlite, and a wetting agent.

Excellent information my friend. That definitely requires entrance to oleskool’s Big Red Book of Aquired Knowledge!

I’d have to look it up. I wonder if it signifies a half bale? A full one is 3.0 cu.ft. Maybe the 15 means 1.5 cu. ft.?

I was curious regarding HP 15. I looked into it and could not find any info on their website.
The standard bales of HP and BX that I buy are 3.8 cf compressed. The next smallest is 2.8 cf loose bag

Now I did see this…hmm…

LP is for low perlite

Thrift Town? I’m not familiar but they could be in Houston, Dallas or San Antonio. Is it like Dollar Tree? Those damn things are everywhere! Peace…

I’ve used Promix in the compressed bail for year with no bug problems. The hydro store in my town shut down recently and I had to find a new supplier. They only had the loose fill bags and they had been stored outside and rained on. Now I’m battling a gnat outbreak.

Just a heads up…

You’re rockin’ in here @oleskool830

Every hardware store in my area is sold out and the grow shop closed. I have been using it as a base with pretty good luck. You do anything special to yours besides some compost.

I put a good 20-20-20 in it with some Epsom salts, bone meal and a tad of kelp is it.
Oh and some pure blend pro now and then

I learned to carefully inspect the plastic wrapping of all the bales before I buy ‘em.
The slightest rip or tear/hole in the package is unacceptable, particularly if stored outdoors.
Fortunately, I have been buying (for about the last 7 or 8 years now) from a large landscaper nursery supplier which moves large quantities of bales quickly, so I rarely have any problems.
