Searching for decent autoflowers for upcoming outdoor garden

So, I’ve been growing outdoor for more than 20 years, but the last 4 years have been so bad, that I got almost zero harvest all 4 years. No amount of IPM or resistant strain can stop PWM or bud rot in my very hot and humid climate, where it rains like crazy, and with very large temperature swings at night. To make matters worse, I have a fairly short growing season, from May 1, to mid September, which really limits what I can grow.

I told myself last year was going to be the last year outdoor, after so much wasted time. I have much more fun growing indoor, with never any mold. But, I’m now considering growing all autoflowers early, and praying the peak summer months around harvest time will be a little more dry than usual.

I really dislike autoflowers, but I’m dead set on growing only them outdoors this year. I can’t be bothered to be almost guaranteed to fail for 5 years in a row with photoperiods outdoor, as it’s a lot of time and energy for zero gain.

So, I went through my seed box to look, and surprise… I don’t have anymore auto seeds. I was wondering if anyone would like to part with any auto seeds! I’m not too picky considering I just want a nice outdoor harvest this year. I’m not sure when I can mail something out as I’m pretty poor over here, so no rush. I have about 2 1/2 months or so. I’m looking for 6 different strains (my legal limit), nothing in particular.

Thanks in advance!

I can cover 3 for ya.

G13 Labs auto Froyo S1
Froberry (Froyo x Seedsman’s Blueberry auto)
And
Scoutcicle (Froyo x Johnny Potseed’s G.S.C. x Black Cream auto)

All fems, hit me in the DMs.

Had a dude in Florida run some Froberry and he cut her at 67 days. I never timed her out so I cannot verify his claims of “ready” but he loved her

She’s kinda hard to pick out from the background, look for the 6’ green support pole.

Make some space to give them a (warm) kickstart plant directly in 5 - 6 gallon buckets with 24hr light. IF you put the seedling directly in a big container and give it the 2.5 week good start your yield will go allmost x4.

For strains, do some good research the selling pictures are allways made from plants grown under 1000w led in perfect conditions and a lot of times the pictures are from photoperiod mother clones.

Maybe you can make something to put them under for when its raining?

Keep the big containers a litl on the dry side when buds are getting bigger and budrot is around the corner.

Just hop on one of the giveaway or trading topics and ask. Plenty of people would be happy to send you seeds. This community is very generous. I just sent over 20 mails last week, 18 of which were to Canada. All because someone asked.

If your trying to find Canadian sources for autoflower I would strongly suggest Next Generation Seeds. Hes been breeding in the Canadian market since the late 90’s so his work is solid and tested. I have a Purple Romulan fem photo presently running of his.

@joheimgrohen has good seeds for you to work with. All you have to do is ask

I’m a fellow Canadian grower

Autoflowers can be pretty sesnsitive and also breed super weird. I would spend the money for Gnome, been a long long long time part of the auto community. Big focus on heartiness outdoors, has had some big commercial outdoor runs.

It’s all about how you grow Autoflowering. if you have failed for 5 years then there is an underlying problem. Can you explain how to grow the Autoflowering plants you do?

haaa ok. so why don’t you try the fast versions to bring the harvest forward by 2 weeks. or Autoflowering from June to mid-August

Arnolds work is super

I’m resorting to autos outdoors aswell.

I had a similar problem years ago in a humid swampy climate. My best suggestion is to find a male that possesses mold resistance. I currently have 2 males that I hit eveyrhing with. They stretch nodes to their offspring and hardly affect flowering time. I wouldn’t say they finish fast but if you begin indoors, they should be able to finish. Lmk I can send some to you perhaps you can find a dad.
