Well, this year’s harvest is well underway, and things are definitely getting sticky here at 45N.
And much like Christmas, it’s already time to start looking forward to Jan 1st, which for me is Seed Popping Day.
As of this writing, it’s only 88 days away. I don’t pop ALL of my seeds on Jan 1st, but I always pop the 1st round. This past year, my plan was to do some reversals and make some significant additions to my seed bank, but health issues got in the way of that plan. I’m very glad to have the harvest that I got in spite of all that, but will be revisiting the reversal plan this coming year.
To that end, I’ll be popping the first round of pollen donors on Jan 1st to get a good start on things.
Specifically, I’d like to produce some White Widow Auto with some Wedding Cake Photo and some Capt. Junky Photo. Those are 2 strains I like to grow, and it would be great to have a “fast” version of those plants, similar to the Early Iranian I grew from @Emeraldgreen.
As soon as I’m done drying and trimming, which will eat up most of Rocktober, It will be time to start reorganizing my space to get ready for next year.
Can’t wait…and having little seedlings to care for while we’ve got snow piling up outside is a great way to lift the spirits and survive the mild case of cabin fever that’s bound to set in…especially if this winter turns out to be even close to what the long range boys are calling for.
Happy grows, bros, and keep on trimmin’
