@Torontoke and @Sunvalley woo hoo awesome my brother. . . SPREADING THE LOVE
I can only thank you and everyone else willing to pitch in time or donate to his project. . . One person trying to do it all would take years to accomplish but together, this time next year we will have successed in proving that this community is unlike any other. . .:grin::grin::v::+1::clap::beers::camera_flash:
So let me make sure I’ve got everyone so far willing to donate. . . @Morgwar and his SSDD @OrganicGorilla and his gracious SSDD and DBHP
@Sunvalley and his above post contribution
@nube I’m sure can throw in something we don’t have :v::wink:
@Torontoke for his amazing above post contributions . . . .
Thank you all listed above and everyone else willing to make this project a success.
Seems like we have some great donations available not let’s focus on who is going to be our breeders. . . Please if you haven’t but want to, post on here letting me know if you want to be a breeder. We will put everyone’s name into an anonymous vote and the donators will have the lasting say in the top 3 breeders voted. . . Sound good?

I asked B to let me know if he had any problems with me making F2 for sharing, and he didn’t say he did. I’m sure he gets a billion emails so maybe he missed mine, or maybe he’s just been real clear about this in the past on a lot of different sites, and specifically in his Pot Cast interviews.

(Reposting this here from a different post) Here’s where bodhi says there’s no restrictions on his seeds and that he ENCOURAGES people to make more and spread them around, especially old discontinued lines (copy and paste into a new tab):

Here’s where bodhi talks at length about breeder respect and intentions and communication about working other people’s strains (as well as the bad energy attached to some beans):

https://soundcloud.com/user-928350579-16614181/bodhi-seeds#t=0:40

Here’s where bodhi again talks about how he loves people F2’ing discontinued lines:

Here’s where bodhi talks about people hoarding (apologies to resident hoarders @MadScientist lol!!) , and about sharing specifically. Listen for a couple minutes:

Bodhi talks about giving seed packs (in the context of Matt Riot) and not caring what people do with them after that:

B talks about open pollination to preserve old/discontinued strains:

Bodhi’s discussion about how seeing cash as king hurts the industry, and how instead we should be making a compassionate project (just like this one):

I can’t run anything at the moment, but I’m happy to help out in other ways, perhaps in logistics. If people want crosses, I got no input other than go for it! I’m excited to see the good vibes that come out of community collab!

If people want to go the F2 route, sharing F2 of anything B produces is going to be popular, but I’d advise perhaps focusing on discontinued lines so we don’t cut into his business. We don’t want to take money out of his hands - he has a family to feed. That was torontoke’s original idea anyway when we discussed it oh so long ago, and I totally agree. Focus on stuff he’s not selling.

Narrowing down the list to things people actually want to grow is a good thing, too. No point in reviving an F2 of something people aren’t actually excited to grow. A lot of those old, rare packs are rare and discontinued for a reason. It’s hard to think of a guy like bodhi, with a library of hundreds of moms and dads, couldn’t get a cut back if he actually wanted to recreate a strain. Not saying it’s impossible, just that if he thought something was worth pursuing, he’d probably have made more of it. But maybe he couldn’t, but everyone wishes he did. Those are the F2 I’d personally love to see.

It’s important that whatever the community decides, the donated beans go to somebody deserving and trustworthy and stable. I think the donor should have final say about whether or not a chosen surrogate grower (breeder?) is the right one. I know I wouldn’t want to give my beans to just any old joe blow off the street. :stuck_out_tongue:

They gotta be a good consistent grower who’s known by the community, a person with space and time and a solid breeding technique where they can isolate pollen. This isn’t a situation where a nube tries breeding for the first time, nor is it right for somebody to sit on the beans for months before popping them. That’s a trainwreck waiting to happen. Better to have someone who’s doing it legally in a rec state, where they’re not selling weed (or other drugs) so there’s no active LEO presence on their tail. You want the most reliable people available for this job, and they gotta be willing to ship beans to others, either in small quantities as individual shipments to recipients, or in a big bulk amount to someone else who will take over the individual shipments. No “the dog ate my homework” or other mickey mouse shit like that. The weakest link is where the chain breaks.

What do they get out of it? Lots of free beans, and maybe a chance to hunt through a pack they’ve always wanted and are excited about. I’d prefer somebody who grows organic to continue the same good vibes, since bodhi produces only organic beans, but I think that’s less important to some people.

And the packages gotta be tracked and all that so there’s no disputes about lost stuff or stuff never arriving. All of this shit gets crazy, as we’ve recently seen, when people see dollar signs.

That’s all I got for now. Sorry I’m so long-winded today. I blame the weed.

Just to be 100% clear…none of these seeds are going to be sold, correct?

Not even one seed is to be sold from this project. The intention as I understand it, is it’s free to each and every interested party.

@McMuffin none of the ones that are made from this opportunity. . .and if for any reason they becomes an argument instead of a discussion I will be closing the thread immediately and call the troublemaker out in the shark tank. . .got it. . .nothing but positive vibes on here guys please✌
And @nube your post was amazing, we are exactly on the same page. . .you have ran bodhis gear so just helping on that front is amazing. . . .and the biggest thing guys THIS IS NOT MY THREAD THIS IS EVERYBODIES I’m not the shot caller (unless it’s drama related) this is a community thing everybody’s has the same rights to input and comment and be involved (but not criticise) just as much as I do . . . .when it comes down to the breeders, nube is right again, it has to be a reputable BREEDER not a first time pollen chuck. With that being said , fear not everyone will get seeds that ask so if your not chosen to be a breeder your sure as hell going to be a tester so don’t get sad (or butt hurt) we are together on this 100%

I do! :stuck_out_tongue:

1.) Absolutely! I like to veg for 5wks, take clones and veg them for 8-10 wks though 6-7 months per plant from start to finish is a bit too long though it has given me plenty of opportunities to practice with CSS and STS last winter so I am going to veg waay less and try my hand at perpetual to cut down to 4 months for each strain
2.) 8 ft ceilings
3.) Can certainly make one if I have to
4.) Patience is my middle name lol
5.) Sure…my daughter and her boyfriend help with every harvest
6.) Hmmm only Blue Moonshine and Skunk #1 though its been awhile and could use a memory refresher

If I get to help out with this project, I can start as early as next week so they are ready for when my 3x3x8 cabinet opens up mid-end September…I would just start this up instead of Tangie

Sounds about right!
I like the journal you are currently running, very clean and neat set up!
This bears all about seeing more female growers in the field.
What’s everyone think???
I can split my pack into two 6packs and supply two breeders if needed.

That one sounds custom made for me. Lol

Edit: Keep that in mind when whomever grows those out.

Haha man, have you seen pics of Cobra Lips? She’s a super tropical, potent, stinky spear and wizard hat maker of infinite delight! A very very good strain that gets overlooked. Not especially pain relieving, but very stony nonetheless.

Here’s a few pics. Bodhi Plant and seed guide

@nube, that’s ok. I wouldn’t recognize a medical effect. I’m just in it for the stone. :laughing::smiley:

It probably explains why I have such a high threshold of pain though. I was a wimpy kind of guy when it came to pain in my young years.

Thank you! I can see the hold up being that I am new to these parts so not well known here though working on changing that

@nube, I followed that link. They do indeed look awesome. Not sure about the smell of lemons and rubber though. At least it wouldn’t smell like fresh pot in the house.
