Seed Run Co-Op Bodhi F2 DBHP - Give Away Has Ended

Thank you (((BOW))) :kissing_heart: Yup! planning to have them done 3/11 - 3/25 for disbursal in late April :stuck_out_tongue:

This reminds me, a recap… I am looking at having boy #1 seeds done in February, Boy #2 seeds in March, Feminized seeds in April and Boy #7 in May. I was going to do an all boy open pollination for June though think I have my bases covered enough to skip it and move 1 cabinet onto Hibernate or Cackleberry for 1 last hoorah before I look forward to shutting down the cabinets for the 2 month summer I get

Now that we are at the end of week 3 for the big girl and week 2 for boy #1, its time for thier last defoliation to open them up for more airflow and light penetration

Before

Starting with the big girl, above

and below with mant dead/dying leaves

So I don’t accidentally remove too much, I start with the dead/dying leaves on the lower 1/3

Then I comb through each remaining branch and remove the stretched leaves…if they are longer than 2", they go

Left side done

All done

Mission accomplished!

She probably could use more though I like to err on the side of caution as she will not be making any more new leaves so what is left will have to sustain her for the rest of flower. That is, until she cannibalizes herself and/or naturally sheds the extra foliage that she cannot sustain…sooo much happier now being able to lift them leaves up high allowing even more light below

The boy #1’s turn…

Already being on the thin side, he only needed the damaged leaves removed

After with their new looks and no more foliar feeding

The girls next door are getting their stretch on and will need the same treatment in a couple of weeks

Now that I am at the end of the veg cycle per Docbuds kit, it is time to start the flowering regimen

OOpps!! I forgot to topdress the recharge when I flipped them, that’s ok as they have it now and watered them in with the transplant drench with tea…I really do not like the idea of foliar feeding past week 3 of flower though that is what is recommended. Who knows, they may like it in my dry environment though I am going to keep a very close eye on them and will stop if they show anything off with their growth

No need, he will cover her plenty on his own in the coming 2 wks or so :stuck_out_tongue:

The 1st round here with boy #1 is expected to be ready ~mid February so we still have some time  I’ll add you to the list in the 1st post…get with either myself or Sebring for your address so we know which distributor will be handling your seeds when the time comes

With flowers opening up more, let the daily shaking begin!

First I grab the boys trunk and give a good shake then the girls so the pollen falls further down

Now they are all rustled up, i’ll leave them alone to rebound and repeat tomorrow :stuck_out_tongue:

Meanwhile the girls next door are getting their stretch on…can hardly tell there are 4 solo cups and the Shaman still in there

i’ll have to add a couple boosters til I get to move them next week. Thats ok as the dbhp girls are stacking up nicer than their momma so far

We also have 3 new clones of the girls…I waited a bit too long to put them into their new homes so it was a pia to pry them from the felt mat in the cloner

Now that Jelly Pie is pretty much done in the microcab, i’ll have to choose one to spray with STS in the next week or so though this one is the future seed bearer

The bonsai clones will be needing another trim here soon

Meanwhile the boys are doing their thing waiting in line for their turn to pollinate

For now, there is no more room for anything else in this smaller “veg for now” cabinet until Boy #2 gets moved next week

Once the boy gets moved, I think I can squeeze in 3 2quart pots in his place to finally start ReikoX’s Divyders then again I should start @deep_rob 's Black x Champagne for the lower cabinet as Anesthesia needs harvesting now and Triple Cheese is in her last week or so of flower

Please someone, stop me if/when I think putting 3 plants in this 2x3x4 cabinet again is a good idea unless they are solo’s…no pm or anything just really difficult to tend to them after a 4 week veg

That tends to be my modus operandi. Then I have to pinch, bend, and tie for three weeks of stretch.

If my cabinet was set up like that I wouldn’t mind so much :stuck_out_tongue:

Instead I have 2 entry points…1 on the side (purple blanket) of my bed that has a 2x3’’ work space I can slide into. The other, I hang over my bed to get to the floor…this one I will eventually seal up - probably this summer. So to lessen my workout tending to that cabinet, I’ll have to remember to stick with either up to 2 medium sized plants or a bunch of solo’s for a SOG to make it easier on myself

Looks like boy #1 dumped enough pollen overnight to pollinate almost every pistil on the big girl!

I am no stranger to boys throwing pollen though its been little ones until now and lemme just say, WOW! Did he dump a load or what?!?! Go ahead @cannabissequoia I know your dying too :stuck_out_tongue:

I’ll shake them a couple more times over the next 2 days then i’ll spend a night to collect his pollen with an electric toothbrush and call it good so in ~3-4 days he will be a gonner…sound like a plan or should I give him longer?

Nasty dirty boy, look at that beautiful mess :joy:

In my opinion I’ll leave the male couple of weeks there, as he already has done his duties, would be awesome to get some of that polen for maybe future projects, also females eventually will create new pistils the next following weeks so you also can have them pollinated.

During this time I won’t recommend you to sake the plant, likely the polen will be stuck in to de sacks. A very good idea or practise (at least that is what I’m doing)atack under de male inflorescences a white paper dish , that will do most of the job while you are taking sacks out with tweezers,(hell yeah it helps a lot.)
Other way is cut downthe plant , dry it (or living, but cutting down make it easier) and give a little sake in to a zip bag and storage, the big inconvenience here is no new sacks will appear and those small ones already in the plant ,they are not going to be mature enough to get pollen from them

Edited: cause my English is not good enough, also was early in the morning :joy:

That is true…just blown away with how much he is releasing. In this case, I guess bigger is better :stuck_out_tongue:

I normally use coffee filters to collect from the smaller guys  The electric toothbrush technique intrigued me so thought I would give it a try  Though your right letting him do his thing and slowly release pollen is the best way to ensure its mature
