We have got official statement for OG members from Bodhi himself. I think we can end all discussions about morality of reproducing Bodhi’s work. We were given guide how to treat his work. To quote him on this:

i dont have issues with reproduction unless the lines are currently in production, for personal or friends is fine… ill try and jot down my feelings on the ethics of seeds and the future in the next few days…

I have thanked him for his generosity and example that many breeders could follow.

We can now formulate ground rules for this project:

We were granted the privilege to breed with Bodhi’s seeds to re-create his lines as long as:

1. The line reproduced is not currently in production and
2. the resulting seeds won’t be sold commercially * and
3. produced seeds will be used for personal purposes or distributed only to our friends / OG community
   *) covering shipping is OK

As we understand it, Sunshine Daydream has not been pulled from the list of strains that Bodhi will be restocking seed banks with in the future, as such we are stopping additions to the list of requesting recipients. All OG members that have already begun the process will have their seeds shipped to them as promised, but no additional seeds will be distributed unless Bodhi discontinues SSDD officially.
(This possibility was discussed and the community decided upon this course of action in this instance as being the appropriate one to take.)

How this works is
Donor sends seeds to breeder OR breeder has the seeds already for the project
Breeder grows the plants and documents it in the assigned thread
Those interested puts their name on the list for the breeder and distributor to go off of (How many packs needed)
Receiver ensures their safe address is on file through pm
Breeder harvests the seeds, dries them out and sends them to each distributor
Distributor reaches out to everyone in their area to arrange postage and delivery
Distributor sends out the seeds and gives receiver an estimated delivery date if they can
Distributor moves the members name from wait list to shipped list
Receivers inform seeds received

This list has been backed up and will not accept anymore requests as of 2/27/2019

I usually start seeds in peat pods, but as the donor I’d like to give you as much say in the process as possible. If you have any preferences I’m all ears

I know I don’t have room for 12 full size plants, I do have room for up to 10 plants, and I’d feel safe that we’d get at least one male with as little as 7 seeds.

How old are the seeds and where were they stored? (In the bag at room temp, in a sealed container in the fridge, or in the freezer, are the usual places, each with their own associated germination rates and quirks.)

They are a year and 6 months@ 50/50 room temp then refrigerator. If there aren’t more breeders then I’d advise popping all of them.
It’s also good documentation taking pictures of the unopened pack at the start.
I’m not partial as to germination, whichever method you have best luck with is fine.

Ahh, the bear is sooooo cute.

I’ll make sure to take and post as many pictures as possible, within reason.
Unless there is a logic to documenting the grow on a new thread, then I’ll post updates on this one.
I personally like the idea of people being able to see the full process and all the interactions. It’s how I learned to be a better organizer and person.

It’s not a bear, but I started work on cleaning up the SSDD grow area and project one was setting up the Ganja God to look over the well being of the plants and vibe of the grower!
