Not trying to de rail this thread further at all but I don’t think @G-paS and @DougDawson have done anything but help everyone they can.
I’ve had an issue or two with my boxes in the past as I’ve not even been here a year yet, and G-paS has always been patient kind and helpful. She works incredibly hard on the boxes for us U.S.A. folks and i still don’t think she is thanked enough for the effort she puts in!
Doug Dawson is one of the kindest, and most generous folks I know on here, and I know he tries hard to spread around Genetics all over this site!
People who are newer should be required to read all co-op and box related guides before signing up to avoid having this conversation and making anyone feel bad and if they can’t take a few minutes to read how it works then by no one’s fault but their own they miss out.
We all had to do it to get co-ops we were interested in. So yes you have to pop in often and see what runs are started and when wikis go up. Not that difficult, just takes a little time.
I think people are missing the fact that not only are Doug and Gpas helping the co-op, but they are VOLUNTEERING to to manage these co-ops where we the members are the ones it benefits. Their kindness and helpful nature is what has elevated these members to their current status. Not to mention they do this with absolutely no benefit to themselves. Id argue, Doug spends over $100/month in stamps/envelopes and cards alone, just to give it all away to anyone that asks.
This is very true. With Doug, and G-paS the spirit of OG is clear for all to see.
We should be helping each other, spreading kindness, and if there’s ever an issue, just talk about it, or ask questions in a polite manner… don’t attack people, it doesn’t help anyone or solve the issue at hand.
So much generosity and kindness on this site it inspires me daily to be a better person and help anyone I can with anything especially when it comes to things like this industry, where people sell seeds for $10-$20 a seed making a a pack of seeds be $100 to $200 or more even at times. I’m not the best at math, but think about all the free things passed around on this site.
A place like overgrow is so beneficial and invaluable to all of us from the Genetics shared to the knowledge, and all in between.
That’s why I am a supporter. I know things are not cheap for anyone involved, let alone people paying out of their own pockets to share everything they can.
Overgrow is a very special place. Let’s keep the energy and kindness going in a very positive and motivating direction like it has been at least since I joined last year.

@calman1955 I think the words you’re looking for are: I’m sorry I got frustrated when I didn’t understand the way this system works, and blamed gpas and doug. The way I responded was inappropriate.

Both @DougDawson and @G-paS make it a part time job on here with all the work they put in and they don’t ask for anything. They dont care if you like trump or biden or if you have a man bun or wear clogs. They spread the love worldwide!
Add to that the fact that nobody can be expected to hold the hands of EVERYBODY so they can learn how things work, especially since literally EVERYTHING you need to know in order to participate in the Co-op Seed boxes is in pinned posts at the top of that sub-forum!
Hey all, yikes, when I responded to this I was still basically in a turkey coma, lol. My wife has to work today so we had our Thanksgiving dinner a day early. I can only assume @calman1955 missed out on the fall box signups and lashed out due to frustration. I don’t really understand that frustration from a member that has been here for 5 years but it is what it is. I can’t speak for @G-paS, but I assume she appreciates everyone’s support as much as I do. Thanks.
