That’s precisely right, Dirty. @Starsandstripesseed – just start from the beginning. No marketing speak. No cut-and-paste. Tackle this community head on and humbled, and stop selling – just share your fucking passion and ask for some help (asking for community help will ALWAYS work, as it humbles the company and sets the relationship straight from the beginning – that the COMMUNITY is the priest, and the VENDOR is the supplicant.) Always. 
I like your core ideas and still think you’ve got valuable stuff to say and do here. So do it! And happy 420, SS.

SS: DST is what we’d call an “influencer” around here. He’s one of the more connected people, and his word carries weight.
Find those influencers. Do it by post count, post recency, whatever. Make it clear why you are writing to THEM (and not somebody else). Ask for something, offer them something, and just be real.

I’m certainly no influencer, navy. I’ve been here since November big dog. I’m toast compared to folks who’ve spent real energy, effort and years here. I’m active and grow a bunch of stuff. So that’s cool.

Yeah there’s really no excuse for stealing photos from another seed company.
The real seed company is not a vendor on their website, so it appears they have no legitimate reason for using this photo without attribution.
And it reflects badly on them considering they are here asking members for photo documentation to use for commercial purposes.

I get it. I’ve been the spokesperson for 15,000 person companies. Just saying – you’re the marketer, you’re walking point, you be a person. Your WHOLE COMPANY will love you for it – and they need to understand that THAT is what marketers do.
