The idea being, its the spirit of god, inspire/respire - to breathe the holy spirit.
So in Aramaic, the word ‘spririt’ actually translates better to ‘breath’ than it does to ‘spirit’. Meaning that it is our breath that connects all of us, all beings, even the planet breathes (check out the movie Aluna, about the Kogui shamans of Colombia).

My interest is through an experience I had with Jamaican around 2005.
