Iāve always been kind of on the fence about some of the breeders that work almost exclusively with F1 crosses rather than stabilizing lines. But Iāve been tempted recently by a sale on in-house platinum crosses at gaslamp. Most of the time in-house prices are ridiculous, like $20/seed, ($100-$200 packs or more), so the only moderately ridiculous $60-75 ($12-15/seed) has me thinking.
I know by virtue of working with F1 crosses, any pack of IHG is going to essentially be a pheno hunt. But I also know some of their cultivars like Slurricane have a strong reputation too.

Do u know what ever happened to Magilla? I havenāt talked to or seen him in over a decade. He was a great guy. I have some of his old Blubonic F2s from a long time ago. I met him from my old buddy Naderā¦ who I still talk to once in a while. Except Nader is kind of a Crypto/NFT obsessed individual and I think that infatuation replaced his passion for growing.

Iām with you on that brother, breeders that are working with F1 crosses should have affordable progeny as itās pretty much pollen chucking, IBLs should be the pricier beans as they are stable and you know what phenos you will get. More work involved on the breeders end so they deserve the higher pricetag. Iām not one to buy into hype and after hearing lots of growers rename IHG In Herm Genetics I just canāt bring myself to support their work, Slurricane has good bag appeal tho!

Definitely would love some Sannies Jack F9s, sucks he just disappeared on the community with no thanks or anything, sounds like he was just in the seed game for money, canāt say for sure if thatās the case or not. Itās the best source of Jack I know of since Sensi has gone to shit I hear.

I have Lavender Jack from Bodhi and trust that he was working with the real deal so hopefully a good pheno can be found, thatās what I would shoot for if I were you @978Capt.Terp

Gotta get some In-Fern-Ho by Nomad Seeds to work, also looking for Dragonās Blood Hashplant by Bodhi or any reliably bloody cross that anyone worked. Especially if you got it to bleed an odd color. Red-to-Purple seems to be the norm, but I bet you can pull an entire rainbow out of that trait.

Iām a fan of F1ās but imho they should always be made with IBLās and hardly nobody does that. Even with the big name breeders a 10 pack will often give you 10 different plants.

Yep, almost nobody creates even one IBL, let alone two and generating true F1 hybrids. I didnāt buy the seeds for what itās worth.
