Apollo xx and princess haze are from grim and the kush mints and banana is from fast buds.
Right now I have them on a 18-6 light cycle only 1 issue my phlizon light comes tomorrow so I’m running it under 4 t5 lights and I have a fan blowing it some breeze. Should I keep the fan on in the dark also should I place it in a humidity dome at night?
Some other things I’m growing
Running green man!
Thanks question. My plants are leaning I’ve been running them under t5s until my led light comes and I had a fan on them all night.
Hey invisiblebully718,
Once my seeds are poking up through the medium, I use 20/4 myself for early vegetating.
I use 18/6 about 3-4 weeks before going to flower.
But 18/6 is fine.
I love the T-5 sticks for germinating, for first few points of growth.
I do not have a fan in my veg area, and where I do have fans, mine are up high, up past my LED’s, to create air circulation.
I just do care if leaves are blowing around, as there is a fine line of leaf transpiring moisture prematurely, that simple circulation does not do to them.
Many green houses, have their fans well above the canopy of the plants they area raising.
Again my ideas, are just for my gardens, I know there are so many ways to bud, just offering my way.
Leaves will follow the intensity of the light source, (phototropism) so you can move your lights around, or rotate the pots a half turn, a couple of times a day, or once a day.
I also have other seeds popping for the new year, and getting ready to pop lots more, very soon.
Do not be shy to send me a nudge when I do not see your posts. By adding the @ sign before my handle, and I’ll get notified of it.
Enjoy your grow!!
@webeblzr man you just blew my mind with phototropism I moved the light and the plants went straight back up thankyou.
Aww look at the babies
So glad to help you on your growing path
!!
Nah, they look fine.
When I up pot mine, I bury them right up to the leaf.
That stalk will throw roots when covered with medium.
Now, when I start my tailed seeds, they get placed into 4" square nursery pots.
I only fill the pot about 1/4 that the pot can hold, with starter mix.
I poke a hole for my seed sprouting in the paper towel, tweezer it into the hole, tail down.
As the seedling grows, I add more starter mix around it, firm it down a bit, up to the leaf.
I do 3 up pots, during their lives, first to a 4" pot, then to a 1 gallon pot, to a 3 gallon pot.
@webeblzr I have some 4 inch red plant pots I was going to transplant them next weekend ( wish me luck) thank you for letting me know about covering it to the top when I transplant that makes a lot of sense that would definitely help with stability. Question I have a few minor(big) issues with my hibiscus I was wondering if they’re saveable and also if you have any tips what could be done
I would say, they want out of the small starter pockets and into a mild acidic soil, high N value, lower P value, and higher K value, one place posted this,
17-5-24 for N,P K values.
Potting soil, with some perlite, course sand for draining, then some coco coir or peat base medium to retain some moisture in the mix.
Sun lovers, for most part.
Have fun man.
I’ve got some RoseOfSharon seeds started this winter, as I found one growing wild, that has a very unique color, that we do not have growing here.
How does that happen, LOL?
So saved some of pods last fall, and they are coming up, and soon going out back!
Going to try some bonsi training on a couple of them.
@webeblzr hey think I’m running in to my first minor issue my Apollo plant it turning yellow
Is the medium a starter mix? No nutrients.
Is it potting soil? Some nutrients.
See where the medium is pulling away from the side of the seed cell, above your thumb, the empty cell, or around the Hibiscus, that is a water me sign.
Sometimes, different strains have different nutritional needs.
Plant 1, straight across from your thumb, is loving the medium.
Plant 2, a bit of yellowing, a bit of twist in the leaf, you can see with potting mix, sometimes.
I would keep giving them plain water, until you see weeping from the bottom of the seed cell, and monitor them.
The medium that I’m currently using is sungro black gold for my seedlings the other two bags of soil are for the vegetative and flowering stage.
I use a Starter Mix, it usually PH’d, sometimes a bit of worm casting may be in it.
What your using will work fine, for many plants, but can be to hot for others.
Your picture in the other post shows that, (to me) is what is happening.
As the roots get stronger, it should turn around, and push out green leaf.
I buy a bale of this, I take some it, and use it as a Starter Mix.
I’ll add a bit of worm casting, and every once in a while a seedling will pale out from the worm castings, but not like fertilized potting soil can do to them.
Looking Good!
A good relationship to make for a new grower, when using your meter, to see the soil/medium moisture profile in the pot.
Then remove the probe, and simply pick the pot up, and get to know, what a dry reading’s weight is in your hands.
Then a wet reading, as you have in your upper photo, simply get to know that weight also.
After a month or so, your hands, and weight of the pot will tell you to water or not to water.
I do not think my first meter lasted a battery change, once I learned this tip, from my mentors.
Thank you that does make a lot of sense to get a gist on the different weights of wet soil, I’m definitely going to use it as you can see I’m definitely a little heavy handed with the water ,the funny thing is I have a watering chart and for some reason I still over do i. Even though I feel humidity may be culprit to keeping them so damp I’m thinking about getting a mini dehumidifier to keep the humidity at a right level.
As you water your fav’s, once you see a trickle of water, weeping from under the pots, your there! LOL!
You are doing very well gathering your skills!!
