Is there a common thread where the comparative grow threads should have been submitted? Anyway I’ll start here and if it needs to be moved no problem.
Since I enjoy growing autoflowering strains and have had consistently good luck growing the @Seedsman house brand seeds it just made sense to sign up for their comparative grow. I’ve only got room right now to grow one auto in a 3 gallon pot, here are some details.
Strain : Wedding Cake Auto from @SeedsMan Pot/Bucket Size : 3 Gallon Tent Size : 2’ x 2’ How Many Plants : 1 Environment : Indoor Medium : Pro-Mix HP with approximately 20% extra #3 perlite Lights : Viparspectra 150w LED Nutrients : @GreenleafNutrients Mega Crop 1 Part Room/Tent Temperature : 80° F during the first 10 days Relative Humidity : 75% during the first 10 days Media/Res PH : 6.5 Pests : None yet but I haven’t started a seed yet. Watering : Starting at day 7 the plant will begin having Mega Crop added to its watering schedule.

This is actually a strain I’ve wanted to grow…photo or auto but have never gotten around to it. I think if you get a good version of it than it can be quite good.
I just started 3 as well. Unfortunately one did not make it, popped fine but the shell of the seed was stuck trying to take it off I broke it. Other two are in their pots.

Those who received the Wedding Cake auto seeds from Seedsman will be posting in a thread how the grow is going and the different plants will be compared with the others. They are looking to see if they spot any special phenotypes.
Well I’m just about ready to start a @Seedsman Wedding Cake auto seed for the Comparative grow. I have a spot in my 2x2 tent which is my best tent for starting auto plants as it’s the easiest in which to control the environment. This 2x2 tent is the first tent I bought when I got started I guess about 5 or so years ago. Hopefully by the time the Wedding Cake auto needs more room (with any luck) the Dosi-Delirium will be ready to come down.
Man these things are no joke. They are growing FAF. I am really happy with the progress I have about 4 others I started at the same time and these by far are blowing them away almost to the point I don’t even want to bother with the others. I am excited to see how this wedding cake turns out.
I just finished mixing some #3 perlite in to some Pro Mix HP and moistened the medium from top to bottom and then filled the pot I’ll be growing the Wedding Cake auto in when it sprouts. I store the ProMix in the basement which is a bit colder then upstairs so I like to fill the pot a couple days prior to planting in it so I can bring the medium up to room temperature. With autos the more you can do to cater to them and treat them like a princess the better chance you have of growing a really good plant. I’m hoping to have a seedling above ground by the end of the week as I will be scarifying and planting 2 of the seeds into a hempy solo cup to germinate them.
I got two of the wedding cake Auto seeds scarified and planted in a hempy Solo Cup tonight. I usually figure 3 days before they sprout but I have had them take less and more so it’s a wait and see.
I just took a look and my first wedding cake Auto volunteer from @Seedsman has broken ground in the perlite and should be standing up by the end of the day. I imagine the second one is not too far behind. I will be concentrating my efforts on whichever looks the best after a day or two post sprout.
