Great job so far , I’m scared about how they will stretch with those big pots , even with that training they’ve got a lot of potential…
This part right here @George is all new territory with these Tendencies.
Lots of room for the light to move, thats one sure thing
I raise a glass of coffee to the flagon of Ale!
The auto will be gone just in Time, amazing how its jumping into gear this week, #6
Willing to see the results , every single grow is better than the previous because of the experience acquired, a good training indeed…
Thanks G. Theres daily learnings here.
And I had to laugh the other day, I noticed I had been on OG 365 days in a row. Nearly spit my coffee out, but thats what it read.
ps, I also meant to add; next week we are Trimming the branches that don’t make sense… feasibility test so to speak.
The goal is to get a Column of branches growing vertically. Downward facing branches get trained or chopped. Small branches will be edited heavily
Awesome strategy @MissinBissin ! I think your gonna do well with them! I’m at around 14 wks in on the Squirrel Tails.
Thanks @Budderton. Livin n Learnin
I’ve got some catching-up to do.
Still having a blast
Hello @George
I’m going in to have a look at training-needs for some of the branches, tonight.
Last nite, I grabbed a few shots after watching Francis Ngannou’s boxing Victory.
The Ladies are looking healthy. They will be Labeled n Loved a bit tonight.
I’ll post them then figure out who’s who
Below: Squirrel Tail; Thai left, Bhadra with hand training, gets appliances tonight to spread those arms; right
Oaxacan below, front right; Bhadra Left; Congo back R
Bhadra B below
Oh yeah! Those are gonna EXPLODE!
Excited to see the update where you start with the music video for welcome to the jungle.
Hi Doug, it will also be interesting to see that fight .I sincerely hope you win.
Upstate gave me a good advice to tame my sativas, it was to only transplant when they have finished stretching in flower, that also helps to stunt the stretching, I’m sure this grow will give you a lot of clues for the next …
Its all fair-game…
lets address explode please and thanks @HeadyBearAdventures.
When it comes to normal flowering and stretch events, Civilized Sativas usually stretch week 2 of flower to say, week 5.
The height and length of stretching cycle for heirlooms n landrace sativas is reputedly huge.
How Long do these exoti-sativas stretch for in their extended grows?
I don’t believe I’ve heard Nybody put a “length of stretch-cycle” comment before for a 20-weeker”
What is nice, is to see the canopy lifting as one…
Not sure on how long mine stretched in terms of time, but I flowered when they hit 8 inches tall, and I kept them in 1 gallons for a month before up potting. Stretching stopped at about 5.5x
Edit: and the Oaxacan sprawled laterally.
Thanks for that info. These had 3 full weeks of Veg and early in week 4 they got flipped n shaped shortly afterwards.
Big learning curve right here and now; week 6 of Flower, starts tomorrow
Same! It’s my first time too
In the words of someone that might have been me “how big could it get?”
Following along hoping to learn along the way. Beautiful training as usual
Ok I had a session last nite; Silence and 1 hour of handling the plants with only a couple Tasks to do, like labeling. And then to just hold them and get a feel for where they are going.
The branches are jumping thats for sure. Auto can wait, here are the Ladies
BHADRA B left below, BHADRA C right below is the one being hand shaped ! Each plant is in a 3 gallon pot
BHADRA C, below
SQUIRREL TAIL, 3 gallons
BHADRA B, 3 gallons
CONGO, 2 gallon
I’m ready with a first YoYo (make that 12)
OAXACAN, 2 gallon
(I’m pretty sure it looks like some of these Colas are filling with Seeds… )
Love that reference @HeadyBearAdventures, forget weeks when thats a real indicator.
I’ve never brought that into play; Flip-Height x strain tendencies.
Nor have I grown Heirlooms !
Cheers and Thanks Bro
Looking awesome!
Does the little double serration on the Bhadra lead indicate anything?
I’m drawn to the Congo in particular for some reason. Sure have a lot of continents sitting in that tent!
I am sure that the people who are familiar with the Bhadra strain, will have a place for the double serration.
Those are the details I’ll be trying to find.
Just to back-up a couple days @FieldEffect, I have the Cobbs sitting On Top of the towel and they are 81F. I’m flipping them daily…
Congo stands out as the Ideal candidate for this method. Side branches are working as one. She may have another up-pot in her future; 2 => 3 gal?
Just wow! Those look awesome. Thank you for showing what otherwise a lot of us would never be able to see. Good going, Man!
Morning @Elchischas, this is the offspring from the 2023 Freakers Preservation run of the South African Congolese strain, from this past Spring.
My first ever attempt at something so decadent and Long-Flowering.
