I’m really itching to get started on this F2 run (f1s posted above). Not sure if I’m losing sleep over the possibilities or if it’s just what I think about to help me fall asleep at night.
I’ll be using this thread to figure out the logistics. So far, I’ve decided to overplant and cull in 2-gallon bags rather than transplanting after 3 weeks at 20 hours to find the autos.
Since I don’t have the space I used to, I’ll be running this in two small tents. One 5x5 and a custom 5x2x4 thats used for seedlings and autos.

I can fit 32 - two gallon bags in the 5x2 - 3 seeds/bag gives me 96 seedlings. I will do half and half the first two pictured above. I will not be using seeds from the tall lanky plant.
( I might re plant 1/3 after culling to increase my ratio of stellar auto freaks)
After I determine who is auto I will put photos in the 5x5 or kill them if they are in the same bags as an auto.

In tent two
-33 f1bx freak in quarts to be culled back to a single female to be crossed with the fastest flowering f2 photo period freak. To make F1 fast freaks
-10 f1bx Banana Daddy in gallon pots best looking auto flower freaky or not will be moved into the small tent and pollinated with the male autofreak.

(chat gpt)
Expected Results Across 32 Bags:
If planting in 32 bags with 3 seeds each:

  • 13-14 bags will likely show no freaky leaf plants.(placed in big tent or culled)
  • 13-14 bags will likely show 1 freaky leaf plant. (cull two non freaks)
  • 4-5 bags will likely show 2 freaky leaf plants. (cull one)
  • 0-1 bag will likely show all 3 freaky leaf plants. (cull non auto freak(s)

This gives a sense of how frequently you might expect to see the freaky leaf trait across your 32 bags!

Going through my beans I realized not only do i have the stockton slap x freakshow from @Wizdom but also have Uncle festers skunk 18 x Freashow that I traced back to @Tappy
So I will hit both of those with the same male I select for my fast freak.
Then cross those together at some later date.
so im looking at two tents one auto male and one photo male

F1 bx freakshow x F2P (fast freak version 1)
F2P x F2P (fast freak version 2)
F2a x F2a (Auto freak -main goal)
F1 bx banana daddy x F2a ( Auto freak version 2)

Ufs18 x F2P -(f1)
Stocktonslap x F2P -(f1)

Oh hey just saw your question and I think my freakshow inbred went like 7 weeks both times. Btw I was being sarcastic with the lofty standards post a while back man haha just messing with you. For whatever reason my freaks finished pretty quickly but they’re kind of tricky to judge with the odd structure. Trichomes almost hidden behind tons of pistills and foliage

I didn’t mean to disturb the thread but since it only just came back up a couple of posts before I figured asking can’t hurt. It’s the freakshow hybrid thread, I agree, but getting some freakshow seeds could definitely help more hybrid projects to sprout.

Nice work, not only on your freakshow hybrid lines btw  I’m very excited about the 1987 clone project seeds I received from you through the giveaway :grinning:

Good luck with your projects :+1:

As far as finishing time. Freakshow seems to be a fast finisher for how sativa the supposed genes are.
On the other end of the fast flower spectrum I would love to do a dr. grinspoon hybrid. The 1987 x freakshow I have is fem so I would need to make BXs to male freakshow or use someone else freakshow X sativa to move forwared with a “hazey” rout.

here is another shot of a knocked up f1

I have no qualms with you giving the entire world freakshow! More power to you.
I just feel like there is plenty of appropriate places to do so.
Do you @THCeed have any plans of making a hybrid in the future? How about anything you would like to see it crossed with.

I crossed the Freakshow with Doug Dawson’s Purple Paonia Paralyzer and grew it outdoors last season. When dried to 60°, I had close to 3 lbs off of 1 plant. I also crossed it with my WMBK, but have yet to try it. I just starting soaking a few “Purple Freak” so that I can do a bean run of them.
@CanuckistanPete grew a Purple Freak this year as he really liked the bud.

I never bother either unless trying to compare different runs or phenos but you outdoor growers have to deal with way more trimming in the harvest process. Can you post some zoomed in photos from indoors when you get a chance?

the photo looks like many lil plant not one biggun.
any plans to make f2s?
freakshow was the male in the cross ?
