I agree! If I’m the only one using it, like I should be, what difference does it make how many plants I have? By our state law, I can grow 6 plants 2 months and be breaking the law. 5 plants grown to be full of THC is fine though.
The problem comes in when they have to decide how many is “reasonable”. Yes, I can get all the medicine I need off 5 plants. But I’m not growing just for yield, and it’s nice to not wait 6 months between harvests, and have mothers. I like Canadian law better on it.

The whole plant count things an example of the misunderstanding of cannabis. I can have six in flower and six in veg. But if I cut twelve clones and they are a foot tall when harvested they don’t yields as much as one of my out door plants…do that make sense?

Does any legislation make sense. Our elected officials are clueless. Look at oregon. They decriminalized most drugs. You can have enough oxycontin on you to kill 5 horses. Enough lsd to trip out 40 people. But only 2 grams of cocaine. WTF. Coke heads gonna be maken alot of dope runs. Lol. Who did they consult on these laws? Obviously not heads.

Yeah plant count limits are ridiculous. I assume its to stop people from growing pounds constantly. But they screwed themselves cause you can just get 6 100 gal pots to flower in. If you have a couple extra rooms, you’re pulling multiple pounds from 1 plant. Hell @grohio pulled a pretty nice harvest from a 5 in pot… imagine what you could do in a 12x12 room with a few thousand watt lights and a 100gal pot…
I try to adhere to my states count limit for flower but sometimes I forget how to count 
my cloner alone is over the plant count limit 
I would feel much better having a ‘genetic preservation’ license that allows unlimited testing and seed making.

The thing is its an annual fee… the only reason I havent done it. And you have to make an LLC and establish yourself as a business and register with the state. I have to work full time already, I dont have time or money to be messing with a full scale grow operation. If I had the funding, different story. And eventually I’ll get there. Saving $ for a house and land so ina few yrs I’ll be able to legally grow full time for income and quit my fulltime job.

@TheShowMeHomie what’s even better is one tribe, I won’t mention, have basically legalized it for their tribal members. I have a friend who is doing a Columbia good preservation with world of seeds and underground genetics CG72 crosses and a ACE panama I gave him for any bottle necks that occur. I love it here, if I don’t watch the legislature.

Okay I didn’t want to ask but I have to now. What the hell is Bottleneck? I shall @MoBilly say in comment to me other day and just chalked up as auto credit error and replied to other half of message but now I’m seeing it mention a second time. So I guess Ive missed out on this term so far.

Bottlenecking is working something to far one way and not allowing a diverse population from open pollination it can be a good thing as well depends on your purpose i guess

Thank you @TheShowMeHomie! Question if I where to bottleneck say my blackberry auto. Would it be better to use reg than fem seeds or could both ways come out having about the same end results depending or where I decided to go with it. just classified differently?
@Joshj sounds like you put A and B together better than this Joshk does. I could have a whole notebook full of all the different terms used and definitions. I can remember 2 plus 2 and make a left here things. Words on the other hand go in one ear and out the other multiple time until I hands on use them and even then sometimes don’t stick. I’ll get there thou!
Lastly @MoBilly I deffinatly do plan on bottlenecking this blackberry kush auto! Where getting close to the chop, proly within week or two. Then after a good cure depending on the taste/high of it may throw a outside source at it. Base off looks thou… Which I can’t stop looking at it. I’ll prolly just stick with taking the last 4 seeds I have of it and throwing them at each other and making more seeds to further bottleneck it. Waiting until I get atleast 1 regular and 1 feminized with sts breeding project out of the way. So that along with a little reading up on the inner workings of the whole how crossing and making different s1/f1/ibl and any I might of missed works. I’ll be ready to get it exactly how I want it whatever that might end up being. Might be hard to wait instead of just saying let’s see how it goes. With it being my first true love as a new grower!
It may take a year or two to complete that project. Seeing how I had this project in mind already and you lead me to finding out the deffinition of the word used to explain it. Once I do get it there I’ll deffinatly keep you guys in mind. To throw some and see what you think at some point if where interested!
