Hey… I’m normally shy as hell and am new here and fairly new to growing green. I’ve gardened, just not like this… —
So, I started some autos (Glueberry, Green Gelato, Purple Haze, Gorilla Cookies) at the end of May, and am going to pop a photo this weekend. I’m a little nervous to switch over because autos seem so maintenance free. I’m not lazy, it just seems like a lot more detailed and a higher chance of fucking it up. Any suggestions? I’m looking forward to meeting new people so I can get some knowledge from people that actually grow, not the fluffy bunnies that I’ve ran across that seem to know it all but never grew a plant in their life!!
Photo plants require 12 hours of uninterrupted darkness to flower, but they are more versatile than autos. You can take your time in veg to grow them BIG by applying different training and trimming techniques to influence their size and shape for a better harvest. Autoflower plants don’t have this luxury since their biological clock is always ticking down. You can also take cuttings and grow clones of your photo period plants, rather than buying new seeds for every autoflower you want to grow.
Spend some time reading and feel free to ask questions. There’s an Introduce Yourself thread that’s a good starting point for the site.
Welcome to OG and b&b said it best photos aren’t that complicated if you’ve grown anything at all before you can grow photos. And if you get into any trouble or have any questions this place is a wealth of knowledge people are friendly and more than willing to help.

The state’s medical cannabis industry employs roughly 5,000 people across 248 facilities, including more than 140 dispensaries. The industry serves roughly 134,000 patients.
They can keep those clones! Those dispensaries prices are what made me start growing and the quality sucked. It seemed like the bud was mood stabilizers.
