they all seem to have a strong urge to defend the perimeter after dark. You can really see the instinct if you ever take dogs backcountry camping.
absolutely. i have an aussie shephard and when we went out camping last time (dont have to go far in SE AK), dog didnât sleep at all⊠kept watch over the area the whole night (i didnât sleep either)- i was reading about how our brains will stay âhalf onâ so to speak if we are, say, sleeping in an unfamiliar area, similar to dogs/other animal instinct
it really explains why i sleep like garabge on most quick vacationsâŠthat and i dont get to smoke as much as i usually want.
