So sorry to hear that man. I live with my 3 dogs, were one of them affected like that I can imagine how I would feel.
Hope for the best outcome for both of you!
Thanks man! Iāve been pretty upset. Iāve never cared for a cat before, let alone a blind one. Looking back, I already see things I should have picked up on sooner. Put her outside a few weeks ago when it was nice thinking like a parent - āget off the heating pad, go outside and play.ā Now I understand why she looked scared. I was annoyed she kept eating only soft food, again realizing now it was the only thing she could smell/find. I feel terrible. Gonna take it day by day and see how this goes.
Thanks they are a messā¦lol
The little sable girl steals the big males cong and takes itunder the bed knowing he can not get under itā¦lol
He comes and begs for us to get his toyā¦lol. lol
I love my dogs as they are family.
I breed, trained and sold dogs to the police in the states and a lot more in Canada.
The Canadians liked them not only for their aggressiveness but the fact they are better suited for colder climates.
They come from the Chech Republic.
They make great PPP Doga(personal protection).
So sorry man! God it SUCKS losing animals!
Thanks , he was a great dog . I miss him .
If thatās the trick re: feeding, then you can start mixing a little bit of wet food(miniscule) with a small amount of water & apply that on top of the dry food. Catās have really strong smell sense so it shouldnāt be a problem.
You could even try a āhansel & gretelā kibble trail to lead her to the food.
Best wishes
I think that is a great idea! Sheās pretty thin atm, so I donāt mind her fattening up a bit, but yes, I think it would be better to start mixing in a little dry food. I also put some plastic in the doorways she doesnāt really need to go into, and it has helped her navigate to the bedroom where she sleeps. Iām a little concerned as I have not seen her drink enough water imo. I had thought about getting a little water fountain so she can hear it running.
So my little girl is adjusting very well imo. The main difference Iāve seen is she wants to be close to me all the time, which is not like her since she was an outdoor cat. Iām not complaining, although she keeps making me late to work lol.
I know the feeling about the leaving.
My last dog had crippling separation anxiety after the other dog passed. It was rough.
So many critters donāt get this pampering!
My choc lab, Luci turned 10 years old today. Happy Birthday Luci !
Luci was born on the same day My Boston Terrier passed. RIP 'lil buddy.
So, Iām having an emotional day. Read this post and just started sobbing. So glad sheās adjusting and that sheās bonding with you more. I think the water fountain idea is a great one. I know they make those for pets . Personally, Iām a big fan of Chewy.com. They have absolutely everything, good prices and ship for free (50 and over I believe)
I love German Shepherds the mostā¦had several over course of my life and all were very smart dogs and very lovable too ā¦

<img src="/uploadsIām not going to lie, this whole ordeal has brought tears to my eyes a couple of times. Especially watching her bump into walls and step in her food bowl, etc. Then I realized Iām more upset about this than she is.
I went to Petco, and they wanted way too much money for a piece of plastic with a tiny submersible pump. I checked amazon which is more reasonable. Iāll check out chewy.com. She is peeing, so Iām assuming sheās finding the water. Itās really been going a whole lot better than I had expected.
Love & light
Thatās nice to hear. Animals are much more resilient than us humans
She can still have a great life with you. You will have to adjust more than she does, she has got this!!!
