Here is some thread art I did on a rods I’ve built. The thread art on these takes more time than all of the other components of a custom built rod.

Jig for rod tying.

Thank you, I appreciate it. It feels weird because I’ve caught myself smiling at little memories a lot more often than I would have expected. I think it’s because I can’t help but see her influence in my kids, in a million different ways, every single day. The things about my mom that I loved the most are so clearly alive and well in them. Grandma made sure of it. I’m sad, but feeling grateful is hitting a lot harder at the moment. We were lucky to have her!

Your wife’s art is beautiful. And your rod art is very cool. Did you make the rod jig yourself? :green_heart:

Here some of my wife’s art.

And a few of mine.

That hammer would look good framed, and in someone’s shop.

No, a friend who owned a fly shop was making them. I bought it in
the early eighties. It extends quite a bit longer than what can be seen in the photo and accommodates rods of any length.

So sorry for your loss @Bombus_affinis_MN . I can’t even imagine what that would do to me. We are both 71, but the prospect looms closer for us, as one of us will part the
silver cord before the other. Cherish her memories. They will
live on in you.

Thank you, belleswell. It’s true, memories of her live on in me and I get the extraordinary pleasure of watching my kids reflect little glimpses of their grandma back to me as they grow and mature. They were so tight and she had an oversized impact on their lives.

Do not kid yourself @Bobgrows . I’ve seen the tables that you’ve made with @THCeed sized table legs made of cannabis and they too are are awesome. Take a bow and show off some of your work. The ones I’ve seen are gorgeous.

This is a doodle I never got around to refining & finishing. But I love this idea & don’t recall seeing anything like it, although yes the whole skull & crossbones thing has been done a million ways :man_shrugging:

Damn, you guys are all AMAZING artists :+1::heart:

Just really started to show my art in the past year and a half. Still kinda getting used to it. Just did 2 art shows asked to do a third and teach a class.
I do appreciate the compliment!

It’s your user name. Sorry Ms Bob Grows. I’ve learned never to assume so many times in my life, you would think I should know by now.
