You might be thinking of their “3 in 1” dimming options. That just means you have 3 ways of dimming but you only use one. 1-10VDC, 10V PWM, or resistor, which is the method you are using with a pot. You could also use the built in Io pot to accomplish similar thing but that won’t go as low as the other options.

I agree with @avr1, you should dim that way low starting in veg. That’s way more light than I use and I’ve burned my plants before. Also I think the plants crave more nutrition like cal and mag from the higher intensity. I’ve been adding lots more lime in my soil since switching.

Put that Blue Tara in a van down by the river!!! I love it. I have one growing amongst my peas by accident. Only one to make it from the dozens of little sprouts that popped up from where I was shucking.

Yeah it’s just the driver they included with the kit. So $300 for this wasn’t too bad a deal hell I’ve got over$500 in my digital ballast setup all together. She is probably going for a ride . I’m going to get an active exhaust and my carbon filter setup going tomorrow and paint the inside white.

You are confusing the AB driver with the three-in-one dimming. The AB style driver lets you adjust the current with the built in IO screw (A style driver) or the three-in-one dimmer cable (B style driver). The potentiometer is hooked up to the dimmer cable. The dimmer cable can use a potentiometer (resistance) or a 0-10VDC dimmer or a PWM signal. You dont need anything else than what you have already. :+1::seedling:

Alright I got you thank you for clarifying. Just gives you three different options for what kind of dimmer switch style you want to use. I’m gonna figure this electronics out somehow I need to buy a book. I’ve got 20yrs as a CNC machinist if I can figure out how electronic work I could make all kinds of fun stuff. Thanks for the help ReikoX. I gotta tea question for you if you will I saw aquarium bacteria charges for fish tank water of nitrifying bacteria. I would think this could be an excellent tea ingredient. Any thoughts I love all your info you post about organics by the way?

@schmarmpit here’s my Blue Tara female well there’s actually two in there just haven’t been able to get myself to cull the one that’s struggling. She going in a van down by the river lol. These things are so dark with that crazy purple stem and those thin fingers with razor looking teeth on em. I hope this one just explodes when I put her in the ground. Gotta take a cut too I debating with my self on pollinating the Blue Tara or Oregon Huckleberry with my keeper male of Goji OG. Or I just do both of them what you think ogers just make em both?

No. It’s a different the of bacteria. This bacteria is the type that eats fish waste (ammonia) and produces nitrates. Without an ammonia source, the bacteria will starve and die. This bacteria is used to help cycle a new fish tank.

Thanks for the info. I’m actually thinking about trying some aquaponics or at least getting an aquarium for watering and making teas. Still researching but I think it would be a really fun project. Kinda like a flood and drain system but no salts.

Bubba X Sweet Tooth
Rain City Blues
Bubba Blues 1 is looking pretty rough but the other has got the whirled phylotaxy trait going.

5/5 Alpenglow up and going.

That Bubba Blues 1 is pretty mutated, eh? I’ve had some mutants that turned out pretty great (one I miss to this day, lol), but I usually cull them because I don’t want to deal with them. And unlike DJ Short, I never want to breed with them.

That’s probably the only thing I dislike about Blueberry genetics: I’m not terribly fond of how often mutants show up.

Yeah she’s not too happy the smaller whirled one might be alright. Going to just let them grow for a while see if they grow out of it. I have a pack from Dynasty called Cloud Chaser which is a pre98 Bubba X 3 King’s /Huckleberry#5 I might run with all the other Bubba stuff you shared with me . Be nice to have a couple different bubbas to run at the same time so I can pick good one out. IDK the Oregon Huckleberry I’ve got running atm is supposed to Bubba also so I pretty flush with Bubba. Back to the point I let the Bubba Blues go for a bit more see what happens a whirled Bubba would be a nice cut to have though.

That whorled phyllotaxy trait is going to be a little more common than usual in any seeds related to the RCB, likely due to having selected two parents with that trait a generation (or two? I don’t have my notes) back. That includes the Bubba Blues. It’s a fair bet you’ll find others in those seeds at some point.

Sweet I was already excited about these just makes it that much more fun. What exactly was the male you used wasn’t it digital berry or Carolina berry I can’t remember now.

To be specific, the male was a Carolina Blue x Digital Berry Bx1 that I fell in love with because it really represented exactly what I was looking for in a Blue line male. I received the seeds in 2012 I think, but didn’t find that male until a few years later.

I don’t know whether I should post links to other forums, so I took some snapshots of a couple of posts describing the lineage, by the person who made the cross and sent me the seeds:

Oh man this is getting interesting I remember seeing those post and wasn’t exactly sure if I was on the right track . Alright I m completely sold at this point these are going to be something special.

I hope you like them! I think you got the last pack I’m going to give out. I think I’m going to pheno hunt the rest of my RCB seeds to find the right parents to create the next generation

I’m also planning to look for a great male from the RCB x Orange Goji for a backcross, just to see what that brings to the table.
