hi . ive come to the comclusion that there is a fair number of afghan x skunk strains under different names out there . clearly they are not all the same as they have been bred for decades - at least some of them.
It seems you could include nearly all cannabis strains under this category of skunk x afghan . Skunk itself is afghan x sativa.
so im interested in what people think is the best blended afghan/skunk cross.
ie. superskunk,mazaar, northern lights x skunk, etc. these types of strains have been around for a while now and can be a little boring i think. cheers

Nah it’s a very good combo but so is Thai x Afghan or the sheer amount of nl5 x haze phenos that been renamed like separate strains see you will find many things seem the same on paper when in reality there different it’s all about selection without the exact same parents you can never remake something exactly the same and on a side note skunk1 is lumbo gold x Acapulco gold x mazari so two sativas in there if Sam’s being honest and mazari is kind of a hybrid rather than a pure indica if we being totally honest as well

Grab sensi shiva skunk its the best imo. Fast, proven, pungent, good yields. Ive grown quite a few skunk afghan types and my second recommendation is Paradise belladonna. Probably one of the most underated seeds. Cheap and consistently top shelf buds.
For USA breeders look at cricket cicadas hes got some killer stuff featuring heirloom afghans like puck, pnw hp, black domina etc. Grown his and its legit old school dank.

Id still rate there Hindu kush personally I found there shiva skunk a bit weak tasty but not like years ago there Hindu still has some pretty potent phenos in there though there mli is nice too not super potent though anyways op a good super skunk isn’t bad or critical mass if it has to be skunk x Afghan combo

If I was searching for an Afghan Skunk I would probably take a look at Schwaggys Afghan Skunk: It´s a linebred cross between two other Afghan Skunks (Green Crack and Dominions Granny Skunk), some effort seems to have gone into it, no “over the top” promises are made and seeds are inexpensive:

It was very good … will be growing it again soon

yeah . ive never grown shiva skunk however plenty of jack herer. shiva skunk defintely popped out of the pack as a more reliable option than most .

interesting . i dont know too much about skunk… sensi seeds lists skunk 1 as 65 percent indica- which is a bit odd i think.
also if you see them cross a skunk 1 with a pure indica then the indica sativa ratios do not add up. this could be due to some unknown breeding practices or what have you . it would be useful to understand it better. i should just say sativa afghans really as that is all they are . they get added stability and bulky buds from the afghan side . afghans and skunks breed well together as has been done since 1970 and possibly before for all i know . cheers

Seems true.
Skunk#1 was heavily selected toward the Indica side and indoor ability by them…
It used to be a 65-75% sativa… It had lost its interest

If it was me id go with cricket cicada and get his skunk x puck. He only works with legit stuff im on my 4th grow of cc and everythings been stable

There skunk is a shadow of what it was same with superskunk however there ss can still throw some nice plants there skunks bottlenecked to the faster side of things and less of a high more to the stoned side of things proper old skunk1 was sat dominant to begin with wasn’t till later that some bred it towards the faster more “indica” side
To be fair four or five people have already recommended me there puck stuff so it must be good a few folk on riu were raving about it before the site went funny too
