I don’t use the cords either. Some of the ones I have have carabiners on them I just took it right to the top of the tent. I do like he does I raise the plants up. Plus I move mine around a lot. They’re not really ever in the same spot all the time. When I put the ones in the 4 x 4 that’s a little different. Most of time they are a little bit longer flowering times. But then I mess up sometimes to.
And you never water on the top of the pots!? Thanks!

Nope the octopups feed water from below so no top watering which is going to be weird.

Uh… I top watered until I saw roots poking into the res. If you get the layers of moisture, that top 3" might be a tad dry for small sprouts. Also, water in a ring near the edge of the pot, not right on the sprout, it will force it to send out roots looking for water.
Once they hit the res? No need to top water anymore.

I treated them exactly like the larger ones. on transplant from solo I gave them a liter of clone strength water.

I thought to my self that she might be big enough to have popped some roots down into the rez and figured I’d check. Unfortunately this is all I found
SIKE! Dems roots son! She’s just trucking along, which is pretty great because I had the odd occasion to be up at 4am this morning when the light is supposed to be coming on… and didn’t. At 5 I finally pulled the timer out of the wall and checked, no reason it shouldn’t have come on. I plugged it into my power strip and it came on though so maybe the outlet died or something (comforting).
Anyway she was growing so well I decided to chop off some of her arms. Quadline engaged but this time I cut the lower nodes but left the fans for now so she can soak up as much light as possible. The Chainmail Fuckvest is trailing behind hard but with no auto genetics and it’s mother going 16 weeks I’m not surprised. Roots are not down into the water yet and she’s asking for some so I went around the edges a little bit to encourage her to seek it out (thanks @Nagel420 you living blow up doll you!).

Figured I’d do an update cause we’re growing by the minute here.

And I figured it was time to start training this little lady so no time like the present
I don’t think I mentioned it but I got a sample/starter kit of Lotus nutrient’s lineup for free that I’m going to give a shot on this grow. I’m waiting for the rez to get low and the next watering will include some of their Grow for veg in it. Unfortunately the CMFV still hasn’t dropped roots into the rez yet so I’m growing a little impatient.
