Little update. Trizzler is getting a little bushier. She’s gotta be well into the Ocean Forest layer by now. My plans are to feed nothing except Super Thrive and let her lean on the soil for her needs.

After finding the Lebanese seed on top of the soil one morning with a tiny green taproot I tried burying her again and hoping for the best but it’s not looking good. I put another bean in a wet paper towel last night so we’ll give it another shot.

I had one where the root just wouldn’t stay in the dirt lol 
it took a bit to set her straight but eventually she worked it’s way down

I dug for her yesterday when enough time passed that it was clear there was an issue and couldn’t even find her. I’m guessing that means that nice green taproot died and she blended with the soil. If she pops in the next day or so before this other one germs I’ll probably just yank her cause she’s obviously not a strong grower. I think she’s dead though. R.I.P.

Soil. I pack the bottom and the sides with Ocean Forest and then leave a pocket at the top for some Happy Frog.

Well the Ocean Forest is a little too hot for seedlings so I try to feel out where I think the roots will get by the time the plant can handle it. With autos I want as much OF as possible in there since I won’t be transplanting them.

Small update. The first Lebanese didn’t launch in the pot and now the second bean is not germinating after 4 days or so. I just now checked and nothing so I ran the paper towel it’s in under warm water and gave it a little crack. We’ll see…

The Trizzler is doing ok overall but there’s definitely an issue. I’m guessing PH but I haven’t confirmed yet. It’s getting the same PH’d water as everything else but I had the issue with Choco Thai too where it didn’t translate to the runoff numbers for some reason.

Ok so Lebanese number one sprouted but got washed to the surface somehow and didn’t make it, Lebanese two didn’t germ in a week even after giving her a little crack. Lebanese number 3 was put into a paper towel last night so hopefully third time’s a charm.
