Oh yeah I know but I still appreciate the reminder! MUCH better safe than sorry. I’m only gonna spray the female the morning after so any leftover pollen is neutralized before taking the cones off the treated branches.

OK, last topic, pollen containment…

To build on what G-paS said… Water is kryptonite to pollen.
Get a cheap squirt bottle with an adjustable sprayer, dial it down until it is producing a fine cloud of mist.

After you collect pollen, mist yourself, mist surrounding area etc.
Similar drill when you use the pollen.

Your timing is incredible! I literally just got done collecting a little. Changed my shirt and wet my arms but I’ll do the mist spray now just to be safe.

You don’t need to overdo it either. Just slightly damp does it!

Get your hair too!
I pay to get my hair done and didn’t wet it and that msy be why my last to flip plant was total seed. If I knew that for sure I would have let it go and collect seed but wasn’t sure.

I didn’t like the looks of whatever was in the only spray bottle I found so I just hopped in the shower

Ok collected as much as I could, good amount on the leaves overnight. I’m thinking I may have enough to make this booty call tonight right before lights out. It doesn’t take much right? I was just gonna hit every node of one or two branches and I think I might have enough for that.

Edit- totally spaced on the photo!

Well the dark deed is done. The good thing is I do believe I applied enough to the branch I wanted to. The maybe bad news is that stuff like to fall though cracks don’t it?

I don’t mind if one or two other branches get some as long as I get at least a few ounces of seedless Chocolate Thai.

What did you cross with the chocolate thai?
That’s enough pollen to seed your whole plant, be careful. Pollen is sneaky man.

Orange Grove from @JustSumTomatoes. The flavors should be interesting but also I’m hoping for a nice even keeled hybrid.

I put a qtip in the vial and got a little on it at a time and lightly touched it to the pistils. If anything I’m worried I put too little on each node of the branch. I’d rather have to hit again then have it go everywhere. 10-12 week flower supposedly and I flipped on the 9th so plenty of time to hit again if I need to.

Haha nice. You made Orange Chocolate :chocolate_bar::yum:

I nailed The same strain Orange Grove with Major Indica pollen aka Major Monster Grove.

Sounds like you did it correctly. Just wait 3 days and if no pistols are red and curled up on that branch, just hit it againn…

Should look like this

Although that’s not Orange Grove in the photo.

It’s the one I’m trying to come up with ridiculous names for in the meantime. Who wouldn’t want to win a pack of something called Impacted Bowel?

I was planning on misting it tomorrow so I could turn my fan back on. Should I wait longer?

I put a sandwich bag over my branch till the next day so pollen wouldn’t fly all over the place.

That actually looks like a decent bit more than I used. In a video I watched on it the guys was barely putting anything on. The guy was a commercial grower but treating a single branch.

I apply with intent :laughing::rofl:

Maybe yours could be called ( Sunkissed Coco ) ?
