That is a heroic plant count for a 2x4. Im tuning in just to see if you finish with that many. Also i second the person that said the scrog may be more of a hindrance than its worth in this situation.

What do you use for your organic runs now, if not Dr. Earth? I thought about doing the Gaia Green, but I like the built in mycorrhizae and bacteria and such in Dr. Earth. It also struck me as very no-frills, and it was cheaper, so I went for it.
Honestly, these plants fit in here pretty nicely the way they are; even with 8, I wasn’t feeling totally cramped. They’re still barely over a week into flower, though, so that could definitely change. The scrog probably isn’t necessary, but I’d like to prune as little as possible, and it really helps with keeping the bud sites spread apart. It’s more for air flow and spacing things out than it is for maxing my yield, although I’m sure it’ll help that as well. Thanks again for checking this out!

Last few i used roots terp tea but id guess theyre similar. The dr earth is courser so it probly breaks down slower. Perfect for pre amending. The terp tea is like micronized so its probly a little quicker uptake? I got dr earth cause homers depot carries it. I like a good scrogging but i still think your lineup might change eventually (hopefully im wrong). If this is only a 2nd grow your light years ahead of what I was doing.

Digging the coat hanger expanders. Clever. Do i remember that from an earlier grow or did i see someone else use that tech.?

This is my second grow and first time with the hanger tech; I think I saw someone on Reddit do it and I started doing it as well. Really helps squeeze every last bit of space out, especially with negative pressure sucking the sides in.

My buddy’s dad is a long-time grower and uses the terp teas. Have you noticed any big difference between those and Dr. Earth, besides maybe the quicker uptake?

Just a guess. after they finish stretching you may be really tight. Fun experiment though. The terp tea is probably very similar results to dr E. Just fell for the terp marketing i guess.

I’m hoping I don’t end up having to supercrop or anything; I’ve got the lights pretty far away from the canopy already, and I’ve got about another 8 inches to play with. Today is day 11 of flower and they’re still pretty short, I feel like. The only one that’s doing some serious stretching is my “OG Kush”, which is in the back row second from the left.
Honestly, I’m hoping they stretch quite a bit more. I’d love to have some nice tall mains with a bunch of smaller tops kinda staggered in height around them. If they don’t spread out much more height-wise, I’m gonna have to prune quite a bit here in a couple weeks.

The times ive scrogged ive not been heavy handed enuf about getting rid of the under growth. I keep thinking some light will get to the lowers, at least a little bit below the net. Next time i scrog im gonna eliminate EVERYTHING below the scrog.

I swore I would go even crazier with defol this time after I ended up with so much larf last time. I’m gonna be making some bubble with the trim in the next couple days, and that will help to inform my final pruning. My mains were PLENTY frosty and dense, so as long as my lowers aren’t taking energy away from them, I might just let them ride for hash.

I definitely had some calcium deficiency/pH issues going on at the end lol. I hope to get some more photogenic pictures of my buds this time around.
