These are 21 gallon tubs from the orange store if I remember right. My mix is something new to me , coco coir and castings mix. 4” perforated drain pipe, perlite and vermiculite make up the res.
The tubs are set up as a notill container, approximately 19gallon of media . The girls are started in nursery bags so they can be dropped right in.
Here they are as of yesterday. Day 10 in their homes. In a few days I’ll be watering them down the neck for the first time this cycle
@CrunchBerries @nube @minitiger @unomas @Even @Smscreations id like to invite y’all to see this do 1 of 2 things succeed or fail spectacularly!
@Bayarealivingsoil @mota @Stankonia
Didn’t want to leave y’all out !
Nice set up

Thanks for the tag! Happy to be following along with ya! Best of luck and happy Friday!!
Wicked cool setup
The idea for this design is from @Stankonia via @CrunchBerries probiotic sip thread!
Thanks for the tag, @Slurreme-i-am ! I’m here to see you succeed! It’s pretty hard to fail in a SIP.
Did you add the usual amendments and all that? Or is it just EWC, coco and (presumably) some sort of aeration? One thing I’ve read about coco is that the older it gets, the more the pH can kinda become “problematic,” but it’s been so long since I’ve read anything about coco that I’m not sure if that was the exact issue haha. Maybe in a no-til situation it won’t even matter.
Nahhh, I’m sure it’ll be fine. They look good so far. When’re you planning on flipping? How tall is that tent? Because those “pot on top of a bigger pot” things look like they’re taking up some height haha.
And what’re you gonna do once you chop? Or rather, what’s the plan for removing the nursery bags so that you can plant something else in the big pots next cycle? There’s gonna be a shit-ton of roots growing from the bags and into the 21-gallons, seems like it’ll be difficult to remove them. Do you have a chainsaw? Haha.
Hi @minitiger ! So heavy perlite aeration, alfalfa, chicken compost, non-GMO soy meal, gypsum, dolomite, wollastonite, black lime, humates, calcium phosphate rock, kelp, sulfur, potash, diatomaceous earth, epsom salt, mineral sea salt, basalt, green granite, glacial rock dust, boron, zeolite, mycorrhiza.
Since it’s just the missus and I , I’m only planning on maybe 2 cycles indoor for the year. Started these in the nursery pots , while the tubs were getting up and moving. I am taking cuts from the black marmalade and sending into flower in less than 2weeks. The nursery pots are dug in 1/2 way up the side of the nursery bag, which are filled with my potting mix. The nursery bags will stay after chop, green manure planted and a clone to follow. In all im approaching this as a science experiment to see if I can get a few cycles without dumping , I just ran 2 consecutive cycles in an earth box without having to dump. All this to fill time till spring planting!
Looking good ![]()
Watered down the neck yesterday and decreased light hours to 16/8 and bumped PAR up to between 400/450. I won’t have to adjust light height or intensity the rest of the grow . I’ll mist the tops with a bit of Cana ferment sometime today.
Looks fantastic. Love a bottomless pot.
Thanks for the tag.
Looking like a great start to flower! The tent will be full for sure. What strains are these?
@unomas thank you it’s been fairly easy goin the res holds 3gallon , mist the tops “lightly “ usually about a liter every other day up top . Allowing me to water in a ferment every now and then.
The broad leaf is friends take on “mimosa” (Clementine x purple punch)
The narrow leaf is black marmalade!!! Such wonderful aromas (jack with a lime cream candy )!!!
