Smoking vs Vaping

Oh yeah, remember the PHX and I would FILL all 3 chambers thick…some of those hurt. Seriously though I try not to push it too hard, especially times feeling short of breath.

Bowl pic after 9th…keep in mind my bowl was absolutely sparkling clean before starting. I will NOT clean it, to test how far it can start to affect flavor or splash hit.

@Emeraldgreen Carbon filter adapter for bong…I’ll just say bowls are cleaner this way than normal, especially if you’ve had the ewwww hit near the end, leaves a funny aftertaste that’s not pleasant.

How’s the bong and water look ?

Still looks clean after the 9th bowl

They just may have earned a huge promoter, because when I know something is real and works there’s a desire to get it out there so more can experience DIFFERENCE that’s not hype or gimmicky.

Ive been playing around with this dry herb vaporizer for the last month or so. While it will never fully replace smoking flower for me, it is a nice mellow buzz that’s MUCH easier on the chest & hardly ever makes me cough. The first rip of each “pod” is pure terps, even the most fecal smelling cannabis will taste like flowers on the first rip :ok_hand::heart:

For me, a nice clean bong & some flower will always be my preference

10th bowl still clean and no considerable effects on flavors, continues to be clean down to ash completely

@OriginalDankmaster96 you got keck clip to join adaptor to bowl so when you lift to clear can the adaptor doesn’t fall off by accident ( will happen ) plus they look and feel good , very practical , worth the money
Bees wax on the male joints is good tip too , stop glass joints sticking / locking
For anyone reading that may not know : )

I have the potv one as well. Bought it as an entry lvl dry vape to see if I like vaping a portable vape. I have always smoked joints, one hitters, bowls and bongs. I like this tiny vape. its easy to clean and I have the bong attachment which makes bong hits much smoother. Plus when I go out nobody will see me ripping on it as it dissapears in my hand. Will it replace joints ect… Not really sure yet.

Yeah I wasn’t aware of clips made to hold the pieces on. I’ll probably get some when I find a seller who’s accurate on the millimeter fit. Thanks for passing it along :facepunch:

After 11 bowls, I’m noticing change in water. I took a tiny taste, and it’s not clean when the splash hit wasn’t noticeable. I suspect this is the maximum before dumping out. So we’ll call it 11 before water needs to be changed.

OK, the carbon now smells like ammonia. Very offensive to breathe…WTH  I guess we’re going have to call it averaging 10 bowls before water/carbon change out

This is how much I used

NEVER a dull moment with you brother. That’s why I jumped onto this fast moving freight train as one of your testers!

I’ve never gotten a hit of ammonia either, so I agree it’s strange.

@OriginalDankmaster96, when I empty the filter, the carbon is seriously sticky and clumped together. You have to dig it out with a tool of some type. What you have in your hand doesn’t look clumped at all. Another thing is, if I remember correctly, when I change out the charcoal it is very shiny. In your picture, in addition to not clumping, only a few of the granules appear to be shiny. The majority appear matte, like when they were new. My guess is that I use my charcoal a lot more before changing it out than what you have in your hand. I think that may also be less material than I put in my filter, but that shouldn’t affect what we’re talking about.

@ifish, what has your experience been? Similar to mine?

Have you continued to use the carbon in your hand?

I appreciate the testing and detailed reviews @OriginalDankmaster96 is giving, and I think everyone is right here; keep in mind he’s saying that 10 bowls in is when he’s first starting to notice a change in the taste of the bong water. Most of us are probably very used to going past that level of contamination. :stuck_out_tongue: I know I am. I’m seriously considering treating myself to a new bong and a set of carbon filters for some arbitrary holiday I invent… haven’t decided whether I’ll make it tomorrow, or next month, but somewhere around then.

I wanted to check the carbon after the 11th bowl and dumped it out into my hand. A few pieces stuck together, but what you see in my hand is 99% loose pieces. I went to smell, and bang ammonia. And you know it’s that, because you back away immediately. I checked twice, and it’s offensive to smell and was like no way is that going back in the filter time to change out water and carbon on the 11th, now on the 14th the slider hitter bowl has reached maximum use before cleaning. For the next half, I’ll use my custom piece

Hitter bowl is cashed

Cleaned custom piece, and away we continue on
