Spent a good part of the morning putting up a more permanent grow dome. Using young poplar trees which I’ve had wrapped around some trees all winter - putting a nice bend in em.
Been burning brush all morning - just came out of the bush with the chain saw as I wait for the fire to settle a bit. Had a chance to take some current pics of the swamp to see where we are at.
Too have land like this would be a dream come true for myself… you would see all sorts of veggies and fruit’s along with my cannabis plant’s every year and i would dig in the ground and make a in the ground type green house so i can still grow in the colder climate times but still just being able to place the girls directly in the dirt like that is always nice compare having the girls in pots/buckets to grow in
My eldest boy just turned 3, he was amped right up that he could strut through the bush, ‘new deep dark wood’ he says, he was quick to take a full booter in the swamp - you can see it in the background.
Aiming to complete the whole property - will help mitigate fires as we are surrounded by crown land and fires have been getting pretty close last few fire seasons.
Thanks again guys for coming along for this one - it’s always nice to share the journey.
The grow dome is complete - I had a massive sheet of poly and it was still too small. Pieced it together with some extras I had lying around. The entire dome only costed me 16.00 in ‘tuck tape’.
No way I’m pulling tarp on this thing for flower, it’s also more visible from our house. Prob use it mainly for produce and vegging a few.
Still need to trek out to the swamp to put in some hours there - replacing some sapling hoops.
For shits - thought I’d share another worm here. The worms I find out here are absolutely massive. This one went straight into the farm with the other wigglers.
Blessings @Soiltech …This City Slicker Really Appreciates those who Work their Land, Creating & Innovating…It’s Really Bad Ass…Looking Forward to Watching & Learning Bruv…Stay Up
My three year old says he needs me to make him a dome. He said one for me one for you, looks like he’s already decided this one is his.
PS - have to correct myself, my wife just pointed out that the ladder is indeed 6 ft not 5ft. Labeled on the side of the ladder. ‘i didn’t put him there! He’s climbing it himself!’
Spent the day mixing soil - you can see the worm farms refreshed with good produce in behind the chicken coop. Got some tomato seedlings repotted into some better soil and will likely see some good produce this year if all goes well.
Finally seeing warm weather forecasted, will bring some plants from the ‘Blackout Lemonaid Family Tree Run’ which never happened. Many perished and some lost their labels so they will be flowered out light dep in the coming weeks.
Anticipating a sweet care package compliments of @9mag. He’s brewing some real magic in his lair. Really excited to explore. Will get some fresh seeds popped for the swamp beside some other planned crosses.
