I am looking to pick up some of their genetics but dont know much about them.
Anyone have any recommendations or must haves?

I have that issue with Solfire, their names are a deterred for me for some reason. I’ve only ever grown their Mindflayer and currently someone gave me some cuts of Funk in Da Trunk. I’ve seen some great stuff from their Don Mega line. They are also going to be releasing a box set for the 4th with a variety of strains if you want to go that route.
Honestly they have a ton of fire and I don’t think you can go wrong, but for some reason their marketing just throws me whereas other brands hook me quick.

Mind melter is very aptly named if its still available. Really potent stuff. Probably one of the least functional strains ive smoked. Id personally try any of the mind flayer crosses but its been a few years, dont know how available old stuff is
Did well for me outdoors, no mold and the pretty damn pest resistant during a terrible year where everything else had at least some mold and lots of caterpillars and leaf hoppers. Bugs only ate a few leaves off her, caterpillars ignored her.

Pretty sure he talks a lot about that one in his appearance on the potcast podcast
Bahama Mama is much better for crossing to something potent. Brings crazy color and terps, but not much high wise. I’d do that Mega Mind myself, because those were both really good. Best of luck!!

Out of that list I’ve grown the Bahama S1 and Mega Mind. The Bahama was stretchy and threw late in life anthers. Beautiful plant that was an incredibly easy trim but the high was basically nonexistent for me. I really liked the mega mind. Mine had a great chocolate funk taste and smell and a very strong, non-functional high. No intersex issues on that one for me.

I grew mad dog couple years ago nice frosty terpy buds and purchased from strainly 40/pack so significantly cheaper than breeder website. Great genetics can’t complain

Oh hey just found an old photo of the buds and I really liked the effects and terps… kind of grape citrus with some herbal mixed in and pretty heavy hitter slightly on the indica side. I only ran 2 seeds so need to try more from them but kind of pricey

I have a 3pk but ive held off mainly because i wasnt sure how itd fit into my selections effects wise. Kinda figured it would be slightly energetic with trop cookies and a name like mad dog

Yeah pretty standard modern hybrid with good daytime smoke but nothing that’s going to really wow you. I’ve had white label and bagseeds blow it out of the water but nice change of pace if looking for something different

I haven’t grown their gear but smoked lots of their Don Mega. Being a GMO fan this one hits! Heavy garlic, halitosis funk.
I remember the nugs being similar in shape and density as SMF’s GMO. None of them that I smoked had a banana flavor. If I had to guess, the Black Banana was used more for structure than flavor.
I’m convinced that SMF made the Modified Banana after the success of Don Mega but, that’s speculation. I grew a Mod Banana strain and smoked a few others, neither had a GMO funk to them.
