I was going to try some photos, but 12/12 from seed so they don’t get ridiculous

Nature just isn’t playing nicely right now! Lol

My basement when lights are out I hit 14°-16°(58-61°) unless on the heat mat. Ive had to remove a lot of helmuts this year as well. Honestly, I thought this was normal thou cause I’ve done it so much over the last year. The only seedlings I haven’t had to do this with are the vigorous haze crosses I’ve popped like Strawberry Haze Cape Goat and Chocolate Haze Xmas.

That’s what I do. It sort-of works, until you try to grow 12 week strains that are still stretching at week 9.

nature is surely not on anyone’s side this past month with the colder temps. i had hard time with germinating some of my little seedlings

Holy crap!!!

I’ve always thought having to remove the ‘helmut’ meant the shell didn’t soak long enough, or had a chance to dry out and harden again. But seriously, what do I know?? Hahahahahaha

I went from drowning every seed I tried to pop (24 seeds, buh-bye :person_facepalming:) to mother nature sending bugs to every seedling I have… I tells ya, if I wasn’t so bloody stubborn, lol

Here’s the Early Frost I sowed earlier still thriving in her cup. We might be able to finish her in May.

Has anyone grown “earlies”? I am assuming it’s a photo/auto hybrid but don’t know if they require a light schedule change or are like a lottery where some are auto and some photo.

I chopped mine tonight. That was my first attempt at a solo cup grow and also my first fem auto. I’m pretty pleased how they came out, they were almost no work until they end. I think these went 75 days. Both strains courtesy of @Mad_Barry . Cheers!

74g wet trimmed, might just make an ounce dry. Smells quite fruity.

68g wet trimmed but feels quite dense. Smells a bit cheesy.

Looking forward to the smoke report on these. That was fun, might wait a bit until I try it again, they got quite top heavy and tippy towards the end.

She’s still going. Maybe another week or so. I’m starting to see a little amber.

Alright the time has come to and end for Willie and his side kick Solo … Not a bad run for Willie running BTY OG … His major downfall was the clay pot absorbing a lot of moisture from his medium. Putting him in a tray of water was the only way he survived lol. The other potential issue for him was no drains. I opted to run without a drain thinking he would need all the moisture. I’m not sure if that helped or hurt but I assume with a drain he would have dried out too quickly for 1 time a day watering program… But without a drain he was impossible to flush properly because everything that went and stayed in lol.

Solo Cup was a much more aggressive grow than Willie… Same clone BTY OG same food ect… I do believe the solo cups have an advantage over Willie in design and I believe I could get a decent grow out of Solo’s but it would require watering more than 1 time a day… I think it’s clear in the pictures who won between Willie and Solo but the flavor is the most important part for me so that is yet to be determined lol… Cheers !!!

That’s all for this one Willie and Solo final hours… Some very respectable entries in this contest and I’m just happy to have a finish here !!!
Cheers Solo Cuppers 24/25 !!!

Another update. She don’t look much different than last week despite feeding her a very weak nutrient solution I’ve been feeding seedlings. I planned to chop her this weekend but still not much amber. She seems to be in juggernaut mode at this point and don’t want to call it quits yet. I might just give her plain water from here on out and see what she thinks of that haha. Buds are rock solid though. I’ll give her 1 more week.
