Thinking bout running a full pack of Mango Hashplant f2 12/12 from seed in the 2x2x4. Culling males and keeping 1-2 girls. Solos to 1g-2g after sexing. Then putting keepers in a greenhouse mid July. Fun imaginings.
Peace

I’ve got 6 solos going they’re on their 5th night of 12/12.
Fat leaves. These are just a reset run after pulling the plug and scrapping due to spider mites.
Aside from Ki trying to eat the one they’ve all had a pretty charmed life so far.
This sounds like a mini version of this flood and drain system I used to use
Here’s where I’m at now… moved the 12 gal hydro-tote downstairs. USB powered DWC water pump, and air pump with 2 x 6" air stones. 15 x 3" net cups in there. Seems to be doing fine so far. I should’ve been doing this last year. Coco A/B & Hydroguard.
They were a little drier than I thought so had to adjust the carrots. Now they’re praying and looking better. I’ll give them some Epsom with this weekends watering.
What’s this watering contraption you got going on here cheap and easy ??? @Gadarien
I believe he’s running a blumat carrot sensor and drip line
Will have to look it up don’t even know what that is hahaha
Yes it’s a blumats set up. For me yes it was cheap, a buddy changed their setup and gave me their old one. I think it’s a little pricey to get started with it. Looking at Amazon it’s around 170 usd to get a setup. I really like it so far. I’ve flooded my tent a couple times getting a feel for them but now that their finally dialed in it’s a little set and forget.

Turned out excellent!!
I know this is kind of an older question but this is what I ended up doing and worked well. It also made getting rid of the run-off easy. I’d just hold the plant up by the lid and dump the water with the other hand. I could water several times before I had to dump it.
Update to my “hydro-tote” a 12 gallon tote, with 15 x 3" net cups. clay pebbles. zero rockwool. I just threw the seeds in there, and they grew. The center plant I braided turned out to be a male, along with 2 others. Chopped them out. Got 2 huge seedlings. Cherry AK x Cape Goat, and Cherry Pie x Cape goat. the CP smells wicked stinky already. Other plants in there are 2 Luxor’s Chocolate CBD clones. I’ll be using them as mother plants, and make a 2nd tote like this. It’s just real simple. little water pump, and an air pump with air stones. Add in the Coco A/B & Hydroguard.
Back left bud pic didn’t load and it’s my favorite flower based solely on the pistils.
They’re starting to fade now and most have some purple coming in. I really enjoy this micro container growing.
This is awesome.
I got hooked with the solo cup competition last year. I’m going to grow in bigger containers next, but I think those solos helped me progress as a grower more than any other grow I’ve done. Now when this grow completes I’m going to see what I can accomplish in bigger containers again.
I’ve been pretty busy with work but I’ve been keeping things alive in the micro grow round 2 ![]()
I have Purple Romulan been coming along. Not very big right now still as I was messing around with some liquid nutes I had canna “peat” nutrients. This said the plant wasn’t looking as healthy as I was expecting with thin weak leaves so I knew something needed to change. This was when I realized I had a lb of Jacks 321 A & B so I just mixed up a batch to get this plant(s) back on track
Im going to start to bush this one out a bit more and start culling weak branches to get 4-8 dominat top and will flip closer to the end of the month (unless it starts really ramping up on the grow then may be sooner
Work killed me last year trying to grow. I’m glad you’re keeping them rolling. Sorry to hear about the Franky.
@Gadarien there will always be more seeds and plants. Honestly, I am too. I really want to grow Frankie or a Frankie cross as it just all sounds killer!!
I have to cull the population a bit as I have some trips planned in the next couple month but will be rocking the sip systems, wicking bases and timer feedings with these solo and hempy containers.
If you ain’t failing, you ain’t learning…
