Solo Cup / Micro container cultivation

I don’t even cut them off. They realize they’re not wanted on their own :+1:

Yogurt for the win!

Left an extra clone in its initial 1/4 gallon floraflex cube and just kept letting it get taller and chopping off side branches until I threw it into flower with some other stuff. I think it’s aroundd 5-5.5ft tall with a long palm tree structure from the base up at this point. will be fun to see how much it yields from that size.

I kept my cup with holes inside a solid cup. Let them ride. Mine were a mesh nest when I harvested. I wish I’d have taken a pic

@TonesOwn a mix of promixbx, earthworm castings and rice hulls.

:hugs:

Above = 18 strain seed run lol

That’s nuts lol. So how often do you have to water these?

Every day.

Here’s the other tent I’m running a few weeks behind with 15 strains and a different type of pollen

@Pigeonman is that straw on top of the soil? Help control those fucking gnats? Will the gnats eat the lower leaves and make it look like thrip marks?

Rice Hulls! It adds silica as it breaks down and makes it difficult for the bugs to penetrate.

Here’s an internet pulled example of what FGnat damage looks like; which looks more like over watering damage meets lockout vs thrip damage.

Sadly I’m used to this over this winter as the bugs have been brutal with such a mild winter where I am.

Once a day watering? I’m imagining a multi watering day takes forever on that many solos lol

Hey, I just found this page, I’ve never tried a solo cup grow but an online buddy did. Did I show you this before? 196 in a 5x5

That’s pretty cool!

Yes but there are little cups under there that holds the runoff so the plant wicks it up over the day.

And to speed things up I use a bastor and lifting the pots to see how much they each need. Then at a certain point it’s even watering with 2-4 basters per plant depending on the day.

Right now at week 5 flower they are all wanting 3x one day, and 2x the next.

It’s more work yes but I look at each plant each night so I spot things fast.

That’s INSANE even for me! :exploding_head:

If this doesn’t have an under plant watering system this person is a serious masochist.

I do want to build a flood and drain system for my solo runs. Make it so there’s a cup holder array in there so I can just place a cup in there and then it’s all automated.

I do prefer drip but that’s too many lines and too many clogs to care to bother with.
