That’s crap , maybe the leads are too long and that’s why it’s only drawing 430w …?

Yea at two meters, you are getting a voltage drop. Anyway you can shorten them.to less than a meter?
Yeah I’ll leave it tonight and I’ll mount it inside the tent tomorrow like originally planned. Hopefully that will fix it. Cheers everybody for the replies. I’ll keep you updated with the adjustments

Yeah it works out each strip is only running 35w @Gaz29. The entire point in the new driver and splitting the build adding an extra strip was to push 50w each spread across the entire tent. The higher wattage per strip “should” Help increase the heat and help lower the humidity. I knew this grow was going to easy/perfect for me if anything it’s a learning experience
You’ve got a B-style driver. Hard to see from your picture, but you should have two open dimmer wires as well as the DC power leads. If you don’t have a potentiometer attached to the dimmer leads, and they are touching, they will dim the driver to about 50-60%. But the main issue is probably the 2 meters of DC lead wire you’ve added. You didn’t say what gauge. Way too long, especially is it is anything smaller than 14 gauge.
Thanks for chiming in @Baudelaire. I made sure when I bought the cable it could handle 25amp so that’s not a problem. Maybe @Ghandisflipflop was correct about the potentiometer then. I thought it just dimmed. I think it’s likely the cable length doing it. We will find out tomorrow and I’ll report back. I’ve used 24v solar connectors instead of soldering. I’ll remove them and tin it all properly tomorrow.
Edit I forgot to mention I taped all the wires up so definitely not touching
Mounted the driver on top of the light fixture inside the tent. Shortened the cables. Did a quick test and she’s now pulling 580w. Once lights come on ill monitor it for an hour or 2. Hopefully we hit the 600 - 620 mark once everything is warmed up. The solstrips are now impossible to look at directly without eye protection
Is it safe to mount a driver to wood?

They do get hot so I’d not recommend it. What happened to that ally I gave you?? Use that mate
I still have it, I made my cob light yesterday I don’t want it on a frame I just wanted it to hang freely if you catch my drift .
Was gonna fasten driver to wooden frame behind tent.
Wood ignites at 180C according to Dr. Google. Thats 356F
The driver does not get that hot.
I have mine mounted to wood. I can touch my driver without being burned. Probably 100-120F tops
60w of pure power they wouldn’t use plastic to encase it if it wasn’t up to the job mate
I know but maybes they don’t expect people to mount them to wood
Not even 60watts only got one clu038 on.
What I did was took 2" screws and used those to mount the driver but didn’t screw them all the way in and left them the driver on an angle pointing out towards you so they are mounted but the backside isn’t butted up against the wood.
I did this for better cooling, not for fear of wood catching fire.
