Sorry Vegans

You may think what you wish.

Good luck on your crusade.

So, this is interesting, in the US alone, not world wide. About 7.3 billion animals a year die due to crop growing and harvest.
Wow. That’s a lot of animal death. I wonder how high the number is world wide.

I’m an omnivore I eat meat fish and plants. I don’t understand why there is so much back and forth here. Humans require nutritional value from many sources, sure some could be substituted. But in all reality it comes down to the fact that being a vegetarian is choice., whether it be forceful or religious. If I were born to only eat veggies :yum:, (my favorite btw) I would. Same with meat. I want to include we like to hunt and raise our own meat and produce. We have a large farm, and keeps our family healthy. In the mind. And the gut.

I got a few more hours…

I’m done people, I like a nice discussion but there’s no point here, all the facts are in the table.

Each one is grown and can choose alone.

Eating vegan is unhealthy. The very fact they have to supplement with B12 or else face severe health issues in time is telling. That is just one nutrient I am pointing out. There are others…
Notice our digestive system and how it works, including the enzymes that is excreted for digestion. We dont have 4 chambered stomachs or any other signs of a creature that should eat only vegetables. We secrete strong enzymes that are for digesting meats. Therefore, we clearly are a species that is an omnivore, and that includes the eating of meat. Would you try and change a lions diet?
Another interesting thing is a special amino acid only found in meats. It’s called carnitine. This amino gives a variety of health benefits proven, including weight management, and the strengthening of the heart. I could go on and on about the health benefits of quality meats in the right amounts. Since my body needs meats, I will never give them up, as its essential to health and longevity. In fact, if anything many of us need a more potent meat source to be optimal, such as liver and heart. The kidneys of many animals contain a protein that helps remove histamine from the body. It helps not only to prevent the buildup, but those who are sensitive to it. I give my wife a kidney tissue capsule when she eats foods that normally cause an allergic reaction. It works wonders.
Let me stop. You get the point.
Like my favorite bumper stickers says,
Eat Beef, the west wasn’t won on salad.

I interrupt this thread with a tangentially related comment. Don’t try to turn your cat into a Vegan or Vegetarian. Yes, ppl really do this.

Its cruelty to animals, feeding them vegan or vegetarian food.

I couldn’t agree more. If you don’t like what your pet needs to eat then don’t get the pet

Too stringy.

In particular with cats who require not only more meat than dogs do, but a higher octane in the form of organ meats. In nature, a cat always eats the organs first.

I always laugh when I see people buying vegetarian chicken eggs… Chickens are supposed to eat all kinds of shit.
