Do you measure PPFD (Par) or just go by hours? I’ve done both with success

You are telling the truth about that, some strains don’t react well to the GLR either.
From seed? so you start at 12/12 then after the plant matures (5 nodes) it goes into flower? do you do this to run more strains?

that is a fact. And another fact, going from 12-1 veg to 11-13 flower with the Gas Lantern routine tricks them into flowing as well. I have used this GLR technique about over a year.

the GLR technique was just another “tool” for growers to explore, especially for energy cost. GLR tech comes with a WARNING
and I have had to remove a few strains that could NOT adapt. but 85-90% adapted and I’m saving on electric.
thankfully GLR works for my SOURS/Diesels and SOUR/diesel Hybrids

Electricity is a component but $300 is still quite a lot. My guess is mainly their license/permit those are over 250k depending on the license. A seed run for me especially if it runs into 5-6 months (2 mo veg 3mo+ flower) is about 2k-2.4k in electricity during summer and about 200 in soils pots and amendments if I do a whole puck.
Then they have the gall to pay you less than 25% of that for electricity you generate.

I think he renamed the original cut to Josh D OGKS for that reason but I did hear he’s also making/made a Josh D OGKS strain. No idea if he’s using Josh D OGKS as a name. If he is man that’s confusing.
It definitely can depending on the strains used. I’ve had some bodhi strains produce 1/4-1/2 full zip locks per strain when I hand pollinated them but the Suges I ran gave me maybe 1/8 of a 4oz jar per pheno except for pheno 2 which was less more like 1/16 a jar. Fem pollen is not the best.
No not from seed , during the flower cycle , I don’t grow indoors anymore though. I do have a light meter but don’t use it much but it does come in handy when setting up new lights.
I like the idea of having low power lights that come on for the first 2 hours and the last two hours to mimic natural sun rise and sun set while saving some electricity.
It’s hard with hybrids but with landraces I have always been curious about following the light schedule for the area they are from.
