Sour Strawberry Dream - BOG Sour Strawberry Kush x Blue Dream Bx

So a few years back I bought a range of cultivars from well known breeders to grow out and pollinate. Had an amazing outdoor run and made sure to dust the gals with a couple different donors I had found. One male used was a Blue Dream Bx that passed on energetic mood elevating effects to the offspring. Flower from the female Blue Dream Bx was some of the happiest, uplifting ganja I’ve ever experienced. Would smoke a joint every morning just to start the day off right, was like a happy cup of coffee(I don’t drink coffee). I hadn’t cloned anything from this round which is pretty disappointing in hindsight. Anyways I grew some original stock from BOG of Sour Strawberry Kush and had two similar phenos, one was sweeter, other was more kushy. They both were heavier kushy type of smoke. Hit these with Blue Dream Bx and recently popped a couple beans to see what came from that cross. One turned out to be an unstable male and the other was some exceptional flower. Named her Sour Strawberry Dream bc the effects are no longer leaning towards the heavy kush high but more-so the mood elevating effects of Blue Dream Bx. This last cross I applied to SSK truly unlocked all the genetics within this plant (credit to original breeder, RIP BOG) For those who don’t know Sour Strawberry Kush genetic makeup is (East Coast Sour Diesel/Strawberry cough/Razz) x Sour Bubble. Cracking the flower jar, you’re immediately hit with some overpowering sour, followed with some berry sweetness; can also catch some hints of diesel and kush on the tail end. Smoke is amazing as well, tastes like she smells, sour and sweet, can def taste berry followed with hints of diesel and kush. Sour Strawberry Dream is a killer tasting hybrid with some definite mood elevating effects. Luckily I have more seeds of this cross along with hundreds of others. Hoping to eventually be able to share and trade with the OG community.

I have beans to share along with many other goodies, just new here and don’t feel like I have that ability yet. Don’t think I have full access to the trading post and don’t believe I can PM anyone yet. But I’m already glad to be part of a community that seems to be more engaging and supportive vs critical and competitive. I’ve always been generous and supportive of other people’s endeavors and goals so nice to be around more like minded-individuals. Any tips for a newbie to OG would be appreciated. Thanks for checking out and reading the post about my new favorite cross. :v:t4::heart::pray:t4:

Best thing you can do to get your trust level / etc up is to explore and engage with threads. The more you read and comment and interact, you’ll hit the various metrics that bump your level up.

You may have already seen it, but this has some useful info:

Glad to have you here, and excited to follow along with your grow!

Really in love with this Sour Strawberry Dream so far, smoke is exceptional and definitely puts you in a good mood. Plan on doing a full run of just her as soon as I get the space. Since I’m waiting for space, figured I’d take a cut and make some crosses with a male I’ve been keeping around and using lately. Tossed a cut of SSD outside and dusted her with some pollen from a Bubba Kush x (Black Cherry Soda x Sweet Blue Lilac) male. I’d say there’s a solid 100 beans to hunt through if need be. Always excited about the potential of finding something spectacular after collecting new beans.

Germination Test

Sour Strawberry Dream x (Bubba Kush x (Black Cherry Soda x Sweet Blue Lilac)

13/13 in little over 12 hours on the darker fully developed beans.

10/23 in little over 12 hours on the lighter underdeveloped beans. (Wouldn’t meet my standard to gift or sell these beans)

Looks like I have some new seeds to plant, little more than I anticipated.
