Welcome to my sour strawberry outdoor grow!
I selected a few cuts in my previous thread and the time has come to test them in the great outdoors.
Females are in 10gallon pots
#17. extra frosty strawberry kush
#16. Fluffier, much branchier pheno (hash superstar ) coming out of a reveg…
#1. somewhat squatter, strawberry queen
#12. like 17, with more sourness
(Pis from june14)
Males are in 2.5gal pots…
#11. Bottom right,
#17 twin.
#14. Bottom left, similar to
#16.
#20. Apex, stretchy, bushy, smaller leaves, strawberry king.

I thought I had more pics of them in flower…
Here’s ss17 lol
I was concerned they would try to flower since I had them under 24hrs veg but so far so good!
Of course… if they try to play funny games I’ll add a ghetto supplemental light and be done
#16 (the late reveg) is starting to throw 3 finger leaves so there’s that…
I’ll update weekly. Except when I’m on vacation. (Soon-ish )
The ones to watch out for are #1 and #20…

Looking good. What is both, the longest and shortest flowering pheno that you have experienced from SSK?

Thank you gentlemen.
@RoryBorealis
The hotpants pheno can be very fast, I’ve seen some completely done at 52-53 days on a good run.
The only time I’ve grown a sour strawberry that needed longer than 65 days was a stretchy female that had some gas on the backend. I cut her at 75 days with minimal amber trichomes.
There was also an odd male that showed sex at week 4 and at week 6-7 he wasn’t even close to drop pollen. He got binned… I do regret trashing him.

Thanks. The nickname “hotpants”, now makes more sense.

Honestly there are many more expressions than the 4 described by the BOG.
In the original bx2 run I found a straight sour pheno, like rocket candies, and a super fluffy fresh strawberry pheno, one very similar to #16 in this run…

That dirt looks good you say.
What did you put in it you ask.
One 3.8ft3 fafard greenhouse mix w/ extra perlite
Two palms blood meal
Two palms bone meal
Half palm lime
4 palms crustaceans compost
1 palm somebody’s uncle osmocote
So far they are loving it.
We also have a mysterious guest, who’ll get pollinated by the 3 sour strawberry males. Two more could possibly join the party next week.
Since no update would be complete without pics…
That’s what somebody’s uncle osmocote look like.
Comes in 50 pound unmarked bags.
That’s a rock I found.

Alright.
The 4 new guests arrived at the outdoor party, they look a bit rough but nothing to worry about…
Skunk A may not get to flower here though, already too stinky. The goal for now is to rejuvenate her in full sun and take big healthy cuts to start new moms.

Some beast broke a branch off muh bush
For the strawberry kush, look for the long middle finger and smaller leave

You should consider placing chicken wire around each plant, that will keep the animals from eating the buds.

Yeah well… I’m the beast who broke that branch and chicken wire don’t do much against me
I agree though, chicken wire is a great way keep animals from eating or destroying a crop.

I don’t know how you’re the first to say something, I thought it was hilarious/so damn random…

I love gardening outdoors! Such a drastic change from my usual pheno hunts, so much more relaxing. No ceiling lol.
