Spaceman's 2025 Outdoor Grow

Hi Everybody,
Just a late season entry.
“Volunteers” of last years Zamaldelica x TigerJack F1 run.
I shook a few buds out on 3, 7gal fabric pots last fall of which 11 sprouted.
5 survived, 4 were male.
Yesterday’s pic.

6 ft above the pot.
I dusted 3 branches of early flowers with pollen from the tallest male.
9ft!

Some buds.

Much more later.

Just wanted to update my outdoor grow.

Tomorrow, Oct 1st, is the first frost date for my region. My grow is sandwiched between 2 lakes so it has to get pretty cold to get a frost this early.

Yet I have determined that I will harvest the Zamaldelica x TigerJack (ZTJ)female volunteer that is starting to show browning at the tips of the flowers.

My other female, the mystery volunteer from last year needs a week or two more to bulk up.

ZTJ

Top cola.

I’ll take some pics after harvest as it’s pretty hard to pick out bud from background.

Side buds.

Mystery volunteer.

Here’s the food I’m using this year.
2 gal walmart pitcher, 50¢
1.5 gal rain water
1 heaping TBSP active dry yeast
1/4 cup table sugar
My additions:
Water keifer strainings
Calcium acetate (powdered egg shells x vinegar (1 to 8 ratio)) 12 TBSP/gal.
Rice water rinse.
Potato water rinse (shredded potatoes soak, soaked in water, shredded potatoes lose 1/2 their glycemic index before cooking).
Brewers barley, 1/2 cup.
Alfalfa pellets, 1/4 cup (Horse feed}.
Liquid fish, 2 TBSP/gal
Whatever packaged, organic fert I have on hand. 2 TBSP.
4 hour cook.

Bubbling, active culture, mix with 5-7 gal rain, well or other non chlorinated water.
Use as a drench.
Can be used every day along with daily watering.

Of course the Zamaldelica X (Golden)Tiger x Jack(Herrer) is a re-introduction of Golden Tiger to the mix(Zamaldelica is Golden Tiger x Zamal).
I get none of the carrot smell from the live flower, only a sour cabbage smell.
When I sniff my fingers after pruning yellow leaf they smell piney with hints of mango?

“Mystery” is one rooting sumbitch or I’ve stumbled upon the perfect rooting concoction(25+ small twigs of willow covered with 1 qt boiling water, steep till cool).
7 days!

ZTJ on left, “Mystery” on the right(Sept 26)

I just realized that ZTJ is much greener than “Mystery” off camera.
