Specializing in hot peppers

Wow those are a lot bigger than I thought. Healthy too. For sure I’ll reach out once I get them. Luckily but unluckily I’m from the south part of the country where the coldest it gets is mid 50s and only for a few days out of the year so I’m hopeful they produce year round

Ebay is full of rip offs. For veggies try Baker Creek or Johnny’s.

These ones are sweet peppers! The only heat is right next to the seeds.

My favorite way is to buy fresh peppers off ebay if possible and save the seeds.

Nothing like a good sauce with them!

Unless people are growing peppers in isolation then those pods can easily be cross pollinated and/or if those peppers were hybrids you never can expect to get the same pepper from seed. Peppers readily self pollinate so you might get the same but there’s no guarantee.

Definitley. I like jalapenos cuz they have some spice but arent insanely hot. Good flavor too. This one is just jalapeno, garlic, onion, and a neutral oil ( i used avocado oil). Im going to do a more traditional vinegar based sauce today with some habaneros. Im hoping its not too spicy for me to eat.

Things are starting to pick-up in the pepper department around here.

First batch of hot sauce with a 2 week ferment completed. Made some pineapple habanero jam. Got another ferment going and probably start drying some peppers today. Also picked a bunch of muscadines yesterday so going to make a muscadines and pepper jam but trying to decide on the pepper to use. Use 5 Lemon squirt habs in the pineapple jam. They are quite mild for habs.
