Greetings i come from the future4200
I had a question which is has anybody tried using spent adsorbents in the soil… I’ve heard it increases oil content up to 30%
Not sure what exactly you are talking about there but if it does make lots more oil I want some too!
Please report back with your results.

Are we talking just bentonite clay, magsil, or DE? Or a combination of them?
As long as you’re not casting spent alumina into the soil the only issue would be leftover hydrocarbons in the media. If you could be sure it’s fully dry, anything else that came out of the crude would be fine in your soil
I do extractions so I’m just looking for ways to increase the yield on our side…I was leaning more towards the bentonite clays
Yeah, I’ve read the whole 1400+ post BHO scrubbing / color remediation thread over there and recognize the name. (Holy sheiite it’s almost at 7k posts.)
A lot of living soil recipes include bentonite clay for the cec, just like it adsorbs the colors in the dabs it’ll hold onto nutrition in your soil.
@ReikoX correct me if I’m wrong, your mix has bentonite clay in it?
No I use glacial and basalt rock dusts. Coots played with different clays, and theh work a bit, but in the end he ended up just using basalt.
What about spent clays? I’m about to try a side by side comparison. Any suggestions as to how I should control the grow?
You’re in uncharted territory. Is your usual grow medium a living soil?
