Hey guys I need to reverse a male to be a female, in order to make some seeds for a seed run I’m doing.
Does anyone want to recommend a product that they know works well?
And
Does anyone want to recommend a recipe and schedule? Like how much to mix, how often to spray, and when to spray?
I found a little bit of information in some threads here, but I haven’t had time to pour through it. Hopefully someone knows off the top of they’re head how to do it.
I assume you have extra female plants and are making regular seed. If you reverse a male upon itself, it will only make male seeds, i believe. Meninized ,lol.
@Hashpants it’s 1 male, cloned a bunch. I’m flipping a few to female and then breeding. Males have X and Y chromosomes so if bred they can make both male (XY) and female (XX) plants.
Females can only make female seeds because they only have X chromosomes (XX) so they can’t make males (XY) that need a Y chromosome.
@Mburrs1952 yes it is and it’s actually better than just having a female, because if you only have females you only get female seeds, but because a male has both chromosomes (XY) they can make both female (XX) and male (XY) seeds.
Unless of course you want feminized seeds then you would want to use just female plants.

@Hashpants I couldn’t speak to that I’ve never done it and haven’t researched it enough to know that answer, but in my mind I feel like they would be close to 50/50 like normal, but maybe not.
