Stiffy grows GDP and OgKush Lemonlarry

Hi everyone,

I’m starting a grow journal here to keep updates about two strains ive just started.

I’m growing some Granddaddy purple and OgKush Lemonlarry and also clones from my last grow (plum paradise, pink fresca and pinky sour rs)

Before I start,I’d like to thank @Til_Valhalla for the GDP seeds. Very nice of you supporting me on the hunt through those gems to find a nice momand hopefully also a dad :crossed_fingers:

I’d like you to explain the heritage a bit, I read it somewhere a while back, before u gave me these, but can’t find it now :face_with_peeking_eye:…if you don’t mind.
I believe two people were involved in making them. Is it just gdp or did you cross something else into it?

I also wanted to grow some of @santero gdp x Larry og but ran out of space at this stage. I guess they’ll be next.
‐-‐--------------------------------------------

The other strain I want to focus on is OgKush Lemonlarry. These are f2 seeds from a guy in Michigan which I don’t personally know, a friend of mine hunted those down for me.
All I know is that those are f2s from elite genetics seeds.

I have had this strain in 2009 from Swiss breeder Mike from alpine seeds as freebies from samenwahl and instantly loved it.
It was new flavors to my palate back then, but I started traveling shortly after, didn’t save it and regretted it ever since.
So here’s me trying to find again what I lost back then.
Also here I wanted to grow some of @santero Larry og bx4…but they didn’t make it. Either lost or seized in the post :sleepy:

–‐--------------------------------------------

That’s my setup:

A 0.8m x 3.50m former wardrobe with sliding doors is my growspace besides the 2x3m greenhouse outside.
A marshydro sp6500 under a lightrail keeps everything nice and bright.
Two clip-on fans running with the lightrail back and forth.
I handwater in 15l pots filled with coco and perlite drain to waste on drain-trays which get rid of the runoff for me.

I started the ogkll about 2.5weeks back and the gdp seeds just a few days ago. The cuttings are under the lights for a week by now. Only one of the cuttings has a but of windburn. I hope it gets over it soon.

Everything is fine, just the gdp is behind in time. They’ll be booted outside once I haven’t got enough space in here.

And so you guys can get involved here too, please drop all your great recipes for edibles in here.
I’m waiting for a big ass decarboxylator and infuser to arrive and would love to give gummies a shot and then something that has a better shelf life.
Most things are prepared for it,but I’ll have heaps of questions.

I also have a small rosin press and a cannatrol to play around with. The troll is new and I absolutely love it.

Till the next update…have a lovely Sunday everyone

so… somewhat long story, but will consolidate.
short version, yes it was a GDP x GDP cross.

AC GDP was the mom.
AC = “Abuela’s Cut”. after a few years of growing GDP seed from different breeders, i found a pheno that worked perfectly for my mother in law “abuela” (suffering from alzheimers / dementia / parkinsons). i have kept it alive for 5yrs. (current mom is top shelf left in zone2 of my indoor grow.)
in order to preserve it’s fine medicinal qualities, i have been seeking GDP males to breed with her.

XOX GDP was the dad
i met a canadian breeder (XOX) on another forum. he had been working his GDP line for several years and brought his IBL to F2. i traded for a pack and grew them out. all males. i selected the mightiest male and crossed it with several strains including AC GDP. i wish i had been able to keep that male alive (it was a total stud) for a few more years, but alas it couldn’t do the long haul in solo cups. :frowning:

= = = = =

good luck with your grow. i DO hope you are able to find a male in your pack. so far, everyone testing have only found females. it would be real nice if you can F2 that and keep it going in your country. that’d be pretty friggin cool.

how many GDP seeds did you try to germinate, and how many were successful?

I put all 11 seeds in paper and 10 sprouted.
Afterwards I put them 40mm deep in coco/perlite/wormcastings with a bit of mycorriza around it.
Since it wasn’t very warm it took a while for first ones to show up, but i think there’s more to come soon

Thanks for the strain description too!

@Coffin_Dodger I think I said I’d tag you here…voilà :wave:

Hey there, I’ve been growing Lemon Stomper for the last few runs, it’s Lemon Larry x Elephant Stomper. Curious to see how yours turn out.

Have u got pics of it? I’d love to see them.

Lik I said…I grew the version of alpine seeds and I know they worked the elite genetics line before publishing it.

What I’m hoping for is tall slender plants, big internodal spaces, huge leathery leaves and a nice lemon kush taste that lingers on the palate for a long time. With hints of gloves to it.

That’d be lovely

I mean… sounds pretty likely, tbh, lol!

That’s basically what I got, with one of the plants being a little more on the purplish side. I’m flowering an F2 female from my initial seed run right now and she looks very frosty

I think I ran out of luck after gdp baby no8.
I must have destroyed at least two with the temps in the grow room… One never popped.

I still got them on standby,but I don’t think they’ll show up.
The rest is doing fine, luckily…because this afternoon they gotta move to the outside greenhouse where it’s getting cold at night already.
But I guess that’ll toughened them up.

More pics coming next weekend!
Happy hump-day everyone

Quick update…the plants moved to the outdoor greenhouse. Some of them will go back inside in a few days.

The remaining 8 GDP seedlings are doing well.

The OgKush lemonlarry’s need a bigger pot soon.

The clones of pinky sour rs #4 & #5, plum paradise and pink fresca #2 will move back inside in a few days.
I just needed the house plant free for this weekend.
Two of them have copped windburn which doesn’t seem to stop even without fans now…I hope they dont have a virus :face_exhaling:
Time will tell.

10 days later and our temperatures are dropping.
Winter is moving in,the night temperatures are around 5⁰C now and around 16 during the day.
The young seedlings are doing fine so far.
They’re growing slow,but they’re growing!

Two of them have a little bit of deformation on the first leaves, but I’m not worried about it. I’m sure they’ll grow out of it.

GDP

The ogkush LemonLarry f2 have outgrown their shoes and need uppotting.
I’m thinking of taking them inside, flip the pinky sour rs and pink fresca clones and use the spaces in between them for those five stretchy Larry’s.
They do remind me in the growth-pattern of the alpineseeds freebies from 2009. I’m getting excited about them!

I already treated them twice for parasites, once with Ed Rosenthals zero tolerance and they got soaked with a neemoil and dishwashing soap mmix.to prepare for taking them indoors

OgKush Lemonlarry, about to get planted into coco like the rest:

The Pink fresca and Pinky Sour RS clones are doing alright in canna coco A+B with some calmag.
Ec is 1.3 and the ph between 5.8-6.1

Till the next update, have a good week everyone :v:

Gave the GDP seedlings and my other mom’s another spray with soap and neem-oil. No pests in sight!

I thought I post a pic since I pulled them out the shelf

I also made some fresh frozen bubblehash of my trim from the last harvest.
I was hoping it’d turn out a bit more blonde, as I washed it for a long time with cold water to get rid of most of the chlorophyll…but that’s how it looks now:

It’s drying in the cannatrol now. We’ll see how it’ll look when it’s dried and cured.

Here we go, two weeks later…

The GDP seedlings are almost stalling in growth now. They’re all wrinkled up from the cold.

Weve got -4⁰C at night and just around 15⁰C in the daytime.
Good news is, it’s our shortest day of the year today, I’m looking forward to spring already.

The in-laws came around and the indoor plants got kicked outside.
I hope the temperatures don’t take too much of a toll on them.

These are the clones of pink fresca, plum paradise and pinky sour RS

And here the Og Kush Lemonlarry f2…just about to show sex.
I hope I get a good boys to girl ratio to make more seeds with them :crossed_fingers:

In a few days the indoor plants can move back inside and hopefully flower straight away.

Have a great weekend everyone

My plants are finally back indoors. They managed to survive outdoors without too much drama, except they were a bit droopy due to the cold.

They stopped flowering as they joined the mothers and seedlings in the greenhouse but are finally ready. It’s getting quite crowdy in the growroom already.

Today I took clones of the five ogkush lemonlarry f2’s and cleaned them up.

It’s interesting you’re seeing the nine bladed leaves and seven bladed leaves between phenos, that was my experience with Lemon Stomper, and I ended up preferring the nine bladed plant after the cure.

I like it when they have plenty fingers.
Who knows, maybe the next set of leaves might just be 9 :crossed_fingers:
So far I’m happy with their growth.
If they could just show there bloody sex already…
