Storm watch 2021 Waiting for Henri

Well, we’re fixin to get hit by a storm. Last night I was at happy hour and everyone’s phone went off at the same time giving the 36 hour warning. Not sure how serious to take things, given the medias tendency towards weather porn.

Gonna be busy all day securing the property, including some outdoor girls that didn’t go in the ground.

There’s the big girl too

Good luck to everybody, stay safe.

I live in hurricane danger zone. I feel you on the media and the hype but once in awhile they are right. Best to be prepared.

I’m supposed to feel some of the effects sunday > sunday night… Frankly, not too worried here. Storms last summer took out a few trees and the resulting tree work puts me at ease. My 3 outside ladies are in an area that I hope won’t be too bad for the winds… But I won’t be doing anything special outside for this storm.

Was in Cozumel last year when Zeta hit. Managing a dive shop, was insanity with everybody pulling boats, moving them to the jungle inland. Actually had the eye come right over us and lit the BBQ up in the middle of the storm. Other than a flying table, we watched the storm from the patio the whole time, and to watch wind shift from N>S to a S>N with the calm in the middle, we knew we were in the eye. Took a few days to get power back, but took 2 weeks to get internet back.

Dealt with Sandy as well, and that took out almost all the old growth silver maples on the street…

Good luck to everybody preparing for this…

Hope everything is fine, and you don’t get hit hard,. Sending good thoughts your way! Hmm? Do you have a shelter or maybe a basement? Idk if basement is safe enough, just wondering though. Hope all will be well

Fill some bottles with water and put them in the freezer. They’ll help keep things frozen if/when the power goes dark.

I don’t know how much more rain I can handle I’m sure it’s better than not having any at all. But neighbor we have been getting hit hard here lately. @SkunkHunt101 sounds like me.
