Strain Hunting Along The Uganda-Congo Border

I’m Mike from Kenya and I collect landrace strains from East Africa.

I’m looking for 30 passionate supporters to contribute $80 each toward this adventure. In return, every donor will receive at least 15 seeds per strain I discover—exclusively reserved for donors to give you a competitive edge in cannabis cups and breeding projects.

Last year I went to Goma in eastern Congo for a strain hunt. I found a sativa from a small town known as Masisi that was unforgettable to say the least. You can check out this grow diary and see the vigorous potential of this rare landrace strain

Two weeks ago, I announced my plans to visit the Pearl of Africa based on these reasons;

  1. Western Uganda has a similar tropical climate and soil to northern Congo. I believe that these factors are conducive for highly potent landrace sativas
  2. The unique terpenes found in the Ugandan Kerosene sativa make me believe that there might be other varieties with interesting terpene profiles.
  3. As the founder of East Africa Genes, I believe that I have a role to play in the conservation of landrace strains found in East African countries. It’s through visiting different areas of Uganda will help the local growers understand the importance of maintaining pure genetics for future generations.

As I mentioned in the previous thread, I’m looking for 30 sponsors to finance my strain hunt in Uganda. The thread below shows you my strain hunts in the Democratic Republic of Congo that took place last year.

This is your chance to be part of something truly unique and gain access to rare, untouched genetics from one of the most biodiverse cannabis regions in the world.
