Hey all, my wife has been struggling with chronic pain for awhile now and I was just wondering if anyone has any recommendations on strains that’ll help her. We’ve had luck with cannatonic which ill be ordering some soon but i like to have options fir her. I’m also looking for a few strains that i just cant find anywhere online. Looking for Acdc and lemon butter (lemon puff x peanut butter breather i believe).

Have you tried ‘edibles’?
Smoking cannabis does not give any relief for me, CBD gummies changed my life, not exaggerating.
60-90mg per day of full spectrum CBD via gummies work better for me than an entire medicine cabinet of pharma stuff. It took about 3 days for the effect to take hold and a couple days of not consuming those gummies for the effect to fade.
I literally no longer need/use a walking cane…

She’s tried edibles, doesnt like dosing with thc during the day though, but she has cbd ones she takes. They only help so much though, and they just seem too inconsistent. she liked the strain lemon butter from the one dispo we used to go too but they discontinued growing it. I made some brownies with cannatonic the one day and she said that really helped. Overall looking for genetics that may help so i can grow it myself and make butter/oils from those genetics.

I currently do that, sort of.
The CBD is purchased from a company called ‘Allient Hemp’ and mixed with a coconut oil infusion made from whatever I grew. The combination yields a gummy with 30mg of CBD and 3-4mg of THC, that combo has been perfect for the daytime…I take two(60mg) every night before bed.
I also make the THC version with 4mg CBD and 15-20mg THC from both oil infusion and some hash to make life fun. Plenty of DIY recipes online.
Going to try growing some high CBD varieties again this year, previous attempts have been met with herm issues.

I take cannabis for nerve pain. I smoke some sativa during the day and some indica at night. I guess it depends on the pain. Most cannabis is good for pain relief. It depends on the time of day as to what you like to consume.
It’s gonna take time to find the right strain. For me I don’t like CBD. It makes me nervous at night. I grew out some cd-1 from seedsman but it kept me from sleeping.
I’ve also grown out some cannatonic, but I didn’t like the feeling it gave me.
So, take inventory of her symptoms and choose accordingly.

Yea it seems to me that we just have to find out what she likes and works for her and go from there. Id like to journal it a bit better than we do currently but as of now we have those few strains to go from. Looking to find a good morning/day one for her and a good night one bc she also struggles sleeping. Appreciate your insight!

One thing that may help is to make edibles without decarboxylation. So THCa, in its non psychoactive form, will block pain receptors.
I used to take edibles with half of the thc decarbed and the other half not decarbed, with this effect in mind and just to try new stuff.
But I dont suffer from pain so can’t confirm it works just have read about it in a study.

Certain terps help with inflammation and pain , I would research which ones seem best for her situation and how they need to be consumed to get the effect and then find strains that are known to carry those terp profiles.

Howdy @RustyNotKrusty, it’s thoughtful of you to seek out something to help your wife with her pain. My initial thought would be the recommendation of BOG Lifesaver. I think your idea about some of the ratio stuff with emphasis on CBD is a good idea as well. Wishing you success in finding some helpful varieties for her. Many blessings and much love

I saw your mention of cannatonic, one of the best strains I ever had (from a dispensary years ago) was a cross between cannatonic and sour tsunami referred to as “canna-tsu” at the dispensary.
That was A+ the best I have personally encountered for pain.

Purple Caper - Luxor’s Choclate CBD is my current favorite 1:1 strain. has some thc-v in there, too.
The stuff is incredible. I just finished the hash from 2 harvest ago of that cbd stuff… and it’s super-easy to feel the difference. thc doesn’t touch anything like those CBD/G/N/C/V does. I have 2 big clones going again for a 3rd grow.
The other one. my neighbor told me, was the Lemon Cherry Gelato x Skunk stuff. apparently it’s really good for pain. and gives me the munchies. too bad the clones are garbage for PM right now. smh.
I have some other Cannatonic x LimeOG going now as well. gonna test out more of these CBD strains. I need daytime smoke that won’t leave me drooling.

Buddy i have fibro myalgia they used to call it chronic pain ! But right off WBMK from @THCeed or from @Budderton glittertricycle or i believe its SVj bx it the third letter im forgetting but if you mention my name he will know but these guys both have what you need !
