First pack of stray gear on the way. Picked up a pack of carbon killerz. Skunk on skunk sounds like a winner to me. hoping for something good, specially for the price.

My favorite line from stray was one of his fantasy island hybrids called care package.
(krush x old mother ghani) x (fantasy island)
Fantastic, high yielding, lemon cedar smelling giant colas with good bud rot resistance. Makes amazing lemon flavored hash.
Stray’s documentation of the original grow on breedbay was very useful. I only preserved it as an outcross to my lebanese, but the hybrid came out very nice.
I haven’t had great luck with the other two lines I’ve tried from stray, but there are a few more in my library that I still need to give a shot.

If anyone has an original sealed pack of the care package let me know if you would be interested in a trade for it. I have a sealed pack of stray’s daisy may that I bought at the same time, and I would include some of my own creations as well.

Here’s a grow report from a grow I did last summer:
Iraqi Banger (Doc D Tresbanger Stray cut) x (Iraqi 66 Bodhi cut)
Short version: Potent, vigorous, dank, excellent smoke.
Long version:
I started with 2 Iraqi plants for my summer grow. I wanted to keep it small and not do anything crazy because of the heat and my schedule. BUT this 1 Iraqi just wouldn’t stop growing.
I didn’t get a final measurement, but it went from 16" at flip to at least 50" at the end. I added 2 SCROG nets to try and train her, but she didn’t care about those.
She filled out the whole 3 x 3 with a lot of defoliation and ended up getting too close the lights, so I had to turn them down. 1 bud got a little light bleached, but the rest of the buds were fine.
I could have flipped her sooner, but I was waiting for the smaller Iraqi to catch up. Then sometime early flower, I decided to just run the 1 Iraqi and spread her out. Once she got all the light in the tent she just didn’t stop.

I harvested a little early because how close it was to the light and the heat was getting a little tough to deal with. F75-80 probably would have been a better harvest time, but I love the effects, so I’m not upset.
The smell feels more old school. I recieved a lot of great feed back from other smokers and here are some comment: Reminds me of Patchouli. Musky, earthy, hashy, woody, with some gas, funky feel good, happy as hell weed.
Very calming and relaxing, but potent and it hits me in the head good. A couple hits is all you need to be medicated.
After a month of cure I am getting some citrus notes in the jar now, which weren’t really there earlier. Not orange, hard to place, but still rubbery and gassy when ground up.
I am still a noob at pressing, but it seems to press decently. I am getting a 20-22% (first press was 17%, next few were higher) return at 190F for 2 minutes. I also did some at 180F, but I like the 190F better. When pressed it smells like an old hippy.

Another grow I finished last year.
North Indian Kush Cake (North Indian Red Skunk X LA Kush Cake)
Popped 2 seeds, culled one early flower for space in tent.
5 Gallon DWC - Botanicare nutrients. I switched to botanicare week 2 or 3 of flower from Ventana nutrients.
EC 1.4-1.5 most of flower, lowering it to .8 the last week or 2.
Grow cycle - 101 days
Germ - 8
Veg - 25
Flower - 68
Effects: Relaxing, chill, calming, pain relief. Great for watching a movie then heading to bed or during the day with some caffeine.
Smell: Sourness and gas right up front, and some sweet funkiness.
The frost and bag appeal are amazing. The buds themselves are like itchy balls, dense, frosty and smelly.
Not a huge stretcher, fairly easy to train, solid yield, just an excellent plant to grow.
Got this strain out to some friends and they loved it much more than I did. I liked the effects, but not my favorite… I like more mentally stimulating strains. It moved real fast and people kept asking for it.

I have a bunch with skunky Brewster as a donor but I really REALLY want to explore SB by itself and look for a stellar standout. Thank you though, it’s actually on my list too and in stock atm (yesterday anyway) hoping I can add it and skunky D to the Schwaggy stash asap

it’s that old mother ghani serving magic…lolol…I researched that care package last summer on a short list of things to look at and my reasoning was the ghani used in that island cross…if you do find any of early filial generation stock I think you will be pleasantly surprised!!!

She’ll go 70 days. I hunted the entire pack, so 9 females I put my eyeballs on, and smoked for several months. I kept 2 girls. The #2 above is more on the relaxing, introspective side. The #1, my other keeper, is more energetic and motivating. Both have a similar trippy, old school kinda of vibe that I love. I prefer the more social #1, and the #1 yields much better too. Both of these have that minty/menthol terp profile. The #2 is dead on vics vapo rub. The #1 is a good mix of menthol and hashy terps. Nearly half of all the girls I grew out had the “minty” terps, and they were the better ones, though I’d say all 9 were great in their own right.

Stray’s gear is great in my experience. Was only able to grab one of the HPK packs and missed out on the others. They were pricey on the resale market. Have the last Anarchy Hashplant seed of his as a seedling now. I love the HPK and would love the cut again, but it has to be dialed in. Hopefully he makes some more packs or something.

Grew some Dragon Slayer x Katsu Fighter Strayfox testers last year. Used one to make some seeds with a couple other plants I grew in the run. Popped some for outdoor this year. One is Ancient OG F3 pollinated by the DSxKF. The other is Bodhi’s Lotus Larry pollinated by it.
