Stu420’s Trip to Terp Town

Been kicking around here long enough figured id start my own grow log. Currently finishing up a few plants from Humboldt CSI and one from Cannarado

Grown in peat based organic soil i mix myself. Veg with alaskan fish fert. Flowering out with down to earth rose and flower mix every other week, and Neptunes Harvest rose and flower mix and recharge once a week

Shortly before flip

Front left: 5150 Triangle Kush x Chem91
Front right: Headband (Notso) x Triangle
Back right: Headband (Notso) x Chem91
Back middle: Irene Kush Fallen Soldier
Back left: Cake Fruit (Wedding Cake x Papaya) Cannarado

All pics below Day 45 flower

5150 triangle x chem91 with cake fruit in the background. It has been interesting to see the cake fruit grow alongside the triangle kush crosses. The triangle kush influence is visible (and smellable) in all 3 TK crosses. 5150 x chem and notso x triangle show a lot of similarities in growth, and structure but 5150 x chem leans more towards kushy terps with Notso x triangle smelling more of headband/dieselly chem. Cakefruit grows like Triangle but with a heavy indica influence, very short and stout before stretching with very thick branches and sweeter fruity flavors with an underly kush odor (possibly from all the other kush, lotta odors in the tent, lot of kush, gas and nostalgia coming from in there)

Below is side view of Headband (notso) x Triangle Kush. She hermed pretty hard on week 3 but i kept picking the pollen sacs off and they stopped developing. Mostly underdeveloped and not fully formed sacs. Found one sitting ontop of a bud today without any discoloration so im suspecting the pollen might be sterile. Ive kept the plant purely due to interest in the strain, wont ruin my day if i gotta pick out seeds lol. I suspect the intersex issues could have been from overfeeding and pushing the lights. Actually burnt some leaves last week after feeding with some neptunes harvest rose and flower

Headband (Notso) x Chem91 Above ^. Ran out of pots last minute and ended up using a fabric pot for her, plastic for the rest, so shes been having issues for a while with drying out quicker than the rest and having frequent moisture fluctuations in the soil. Havent seen any intersex traits.

Irene Kush Fallen Soldier above ^. Definitely the most vigorous plant of the bunch. Really excited to smoke and guess who the dad is! Found some variegation on a few leaves on her and the 5150 x chem91.

Old picture dump!

Harvest pic of Karenz #3 x Runaway bride from Bad Dawg Genetics. Pure orange terps

.

First plant. Only compost and water, straight in the ground. Bought a really seedy bag of weed to acquire the seeds. Unknown variety. Know i have more pics on one of my old phones.

.

90% sure this is Potato Head from Cannarado

.

Falcon Heavy from Exotic Genetics. Almost black leaves but so many trichomes they washed out the color.

.

Blueberry Hashplant from Bodhi. Smoked a bud with someone at a fest and they immediately called the blue dream terps without knowing the strain.

Just started pt 1 of the next round. Planted on 12/12/24

Triangle Kush x Triple sunshine courtesy of @syzygy, (Perfect Germ rate, very vigorous)
Purple Northern Lights Haze x Runaway Bride from @Great_lakes_Genetics (perfect germ, good vigor)
Sundae Driver x zawtz from Cannarado
Also have Daily Cheat from Cannarado sprouting but theyre taking their sweet time.

Have a few more strains popping on 12/21 for the solstice. Currently going for a flower run with the goal of finding a good mother to try crossing with triple goddess when i f2 that pack.

Including some art i made. Will post some plant pics soon :call_me_hand:

Thanks for sharing that Bad Dawg Freebie picture.
Great job. And those orange terps sound very interesting .:purple_heart::fire::partying_face: BD

Definitely wish i kept a clone. She was a backup reg that i decided to run to fill up some space but by the time i realized how unique she was, it was far too late lol. The orange smell didnt come till end of flower. One of the hardier plants ive run too.

Making some hash capsules so i figured id post a recipe. Very simple to make, but requires some dexterity to fill the capsules. If filling them if too difficult, a dropper of the oil can also be squirted onto the tongue for easy dosing.

I generally use full spectrum extract or RSO to make capsules, but any concentrate can be used relatively easily.

If youre using nonactivated concentrates like shatter, rosin, budder, hash or kief, you just need to decarb your starting material in the oven for approximately 30 minutes at 230-240F. I decarb on the longer and hotter side for more relaxing edibles (more conversion of THC>CBN) and shorter and cooler (minimum 25 min at 230) for more psychoactive effects.

Once you have your activated THC product, estimate how much THC there is per gram. I generally estimate 70% for most concentrates and 90% for distillate.

Take grams of concentrate and multiply by estimated % THC. I shoot for 50mg THC size 0 capsules. Size 0 capsules hold .68ml.

If i have 5g of RSO, aprox 70%THC, that’s approximately 3500mg THC or 70 doses at 50mg. I need approximately 47ml of oil. Not the end of the world if you’re a few ML off on your oil measure. Smaller batches will matter more, larger batches matter less. I use a 10ml syringe for measuring and dispensing.
(5grams x 70% /50mg dose) x .68ml per capsule = total oil needed.

Add your oil to your decarbed THC concentrate. I typically use coconut or olive oil. Olive is easier to work with. Mix them on low heat till homogenized. You now have finished oil that is ready to eat, cook, or fill capsules with. Warm oil is generally easier to work with. If the oil cools you may need to reheat and mix to homogenize again.

Pic of my filling setup. Out of frame is a bowl with paper towels to clean the outside of the capsules. I use the top to a 00 capsule filler to hold them still(that plastic thing). You can also poke holes in a cereal box to hold the capsules.

I find the capsules work best when taken with food or food is consumed within an hour of taking them. If you dont eat, sometimes they take hours to hit, personally experienced as long as 3-4 hours in some cases. With food it’s usually exactly an hour for me.

If you have any questions about the process, feel free to comment or send a message! I have lots of experience making edibles of all forms.

Some interesting growth on The pedigree from Darkhorse genetics
(Bruce Banner 3 x (Bruce Banner #5 x (Zkittlez x Dosido))

The white residue on the leaves is from foop foliar spray.

I like your rso capsules. I always think about doing that since gummies can be a hassle to make.

I used to make a lot of gummies and candies but switched because its so much easier in almost every aspect. Only complaint is they don’t quite hit as reliably on an empty stomach.

Posting up some pics from the last few months

Triple Goddess from Bodhi
Unique minty sweet pine smell. 70 days of flower.

Sour prayer had some really good sour terps, pretty balanced between Sour D and Glue. Pretty confident Mass Medical used the same cut of sour that was available locally based on the smells im getting.

PNLH x RAB has some really interesting haze smells. Ranging from straight piff to hazy blue dream smells. Clear headed hybrid, sometimes mildly stimulating, other times mildly relaxing. ran her close to 80 days flower, probably going closer to 65-70 when i re run the clone to see if i can get her more energetic/stimulating. She took her sweet time finishing.

Posting up some pics from my Shakedown Street f2 phenohunt im doing with a homie.

Shakedown Street is Chem D x Wookie, bred by Bodhi seeds.

Seeds were started at 12/12 and the nicest of the bunch were moved to veg longer in their respective homes. The ones that didnt impress in the first 2 weeks stayed at 12/12 to flower out. We decided if anything from this group of “testers” was better than our choices we would start over as clones were not kept of these.

These are the first 3 of the testers to finish. We could probably go another week on these but we are hoping for a bright speedy high with good pain relief.

10 weeks from sprout.

Stinky fermented lemon dumpster smells that are similar to the f1. Bit frostier as well.

11 weeks from sprout

This one smells much sweeter, similar to lemon baked goods. Surprisingly, the smell reminds me a lot of the MAC1 my buddy gets sometimes.

Also 11 weeks

This lady is not very exciting. At least she was fast, frosty and smells nice. Smells like s mix of the two other plants little sweet, little rancid. She was always a runt, i kept her mainly to see if there was anything noteworthy about the runts. So far not impressed…

We flipped the rest of the shakedowns that vegged longer and cloned. Only have pics of the males we removed at this point.

This is my favorite male of the bunch and likely father to the f3 generation.

This one is kind of interesting. Super variegated from seedling stage and went full herm 2 weeks into flower. First herm i have seen out of 11 f1 and 30ish f2. Worth noting the runt might have also had a small bit of variegation but did not herm. At least one other plant shows some variation as well but no other herms

Very cool project man…
Good luck! :+1:

Thanks homie!

I want to work it to an f3 and then start making hybrids. Using it as a male and female depending on the project.

Current genetics im thinking of crossing in (in no particular order)

LSD f3 from strayfox
Granola funk from bodhi (female shakedown as part of a granola funk repro)
Sunshine daydream (various fgens from here)

Possibly also using the male to work some auto to photo conversions.

The only shakedown street tester im worried might surpass the ones i kept  about 80 days old. (If my memory serves correct, i kept a plant that looked almost identical to this one as a seedling, which i think is the biggest of the shakedowns)

Really impressive yield compared to others. Looks like 3-4 more nodes than other testers. Now the frost is really starting to form.

No training/topping except a light lollipop before shoving her in the back. 12/12 from sprout. Would have been an excellent sea of green candidate had i kept a clone. Grown in a 4x4” square pot. Very low maintenance. Would have sent a pic sooner but she was jammed in the back corner.

I suspect someone actually giving this specific plant full attention in a reasonable sized pot could easily put out some baseball bats

Another shakedown street tester. This was the 2nd one that took 11 weeks.

Interesting flavor and smell. Primarily sweet lemons with minor musky or possibly body odor adjacent notes. Very pleasant overall. Reminds me of the Mac1 my buddy buys sometimes.

Possibly slightly more energetic than the 1st tester but probably wouldn’t be able to tell them apart in a blind test aside from the flavor
